Chapter 13

THEY ENJOYED their last day in the resort. It was heaven for both of them. As if it’s their sanctuary as they let themselves take pleasure in.

Maaga pa daw sinundo si Pauleen sabi ng katiwala. Nagkibit-balikat lang dalawa.

Early next day, they left the resort. Gerald intertwined their hands while on their way home. He pulled her closer and kissed her intensely on the lips. When it seemed the kiss would go on forever, they felt the car stop. They saw couple of goats crossed. They both laughed. Gerald gets his cellphone and scrolled a number.

“Good morning Mom.” Nakangiting sabi ni Gerald ng sagutin iyon sa kabilang linya.

“Good morning, son. Napatawag ka?”

“Please prepare something for us. We’ll be having our lunch there.”

“Us? We? How many of you, exactly?”

Gerald laughed. “Just the two of us.. I want you to meet someone, Mom.” He said and stared at Sarah.

“Someone? Sounds interesting, Son. What’s this? Miracle?”

Natawa si Gerald. “Mom? Don’t you trust me?”

“I just can’t imagine that you’ll bringing SOMEONE here you know. It’s not the typical you. Whoever that SOMEONE is, I wanna thank her.”

“Let’s just talk about that when we get there. Bye, Mom.” Paalam na ni Gerald.

“Bye, son. You take care. Tell Jalal to drive safely, okay?”

“I will, Mom.” He said before ended the call.

He was smiling when Sarah flicked slightly his ear.

“Ouch! Babe?!” Masakit yun ha?”

“What’s the meaning of that, Anderson?”

He smiled and placed his head in her neck. “I just want you to meet my Mom, Babe..” He whispered.

“What?!” Gulat na sabi ni Sarah. “As in now na?”

“Hey, relax, sweety. She won’t bite you. Just be yourself and that’s it.” He winked and smiled.

“Nahihiya naman ako, Babe. Could we..could we go there some other time?”

“Babe, don’t think too much. I’ll just introduce you to Mom. I’m just here, okay?” He gripped her hand and kissed her forehead.

Sarah released a deep sigh as a sign of surrender. She lean her head in Gerald’s chest and hugged him in the waist.

Dala ng matinding pagod, nakatulog si Sarah. Nagulat pa siya ng gisingin siya ni Gerald.

“Babe, wake up..”Bulong nito. “We’re here na.”

Sarah untangled from him at stared outside the car’s window. Nakapasok na pala sila sa gate at nasa harap na ng napakalaking bahay. Gerald gets off the car and opened the door for Sarah.

Napansin nito ang pagngiwi niya ng makababa siya. With worried look, he possessively pulled her closer and hugged her on the waist as they entered the house. They had been a little too loose in reigning their passion and the result was that she was sore all over. She blushed every time she remembers what they have shared in the resort. Hinapit siya nito at niyakap. He lifted her chin and caught her lips with his’. She would have let him go on and on. They hastily detach from each other as they heard someone’s coming.

“Mom!” bati ni Gerald ng makita ang ina.

“Welcome home, son.” Nakangiting sabi nito sabay baling sa kanya. “And you must be?”
