Chapter 9

“Hi Babe!” Sarah said as soon as she opened the door and saw Gerald standing there.

He gave her a quick peck on the lips. “Hello Babe..Ready?”

Sarah nodded. “Yap..Let’s go..”

Gerald assisted her as they walk through the car. They both seated at the backseat.

“Good morning po, ma’am” Jalal greeted to her.

She smiled. “Good morning. Sarah nalang puwede?”

Napatingin si Jalal kay Gerald na napatango. “Okay, Sarah..” Medyo nahihiyang sagot nito. “Diritso na po ba tayo, boss?” tanong nito kay Gerald.

“Yes. Ken’s team was already there.”

Gerald intertwined their hands and leaned her head in his shoulder..

“Miss you, Babe.” He whispered and kissed her forehead.

“Miss you, too..” She placed her other hand around his waist.

“The basketball event will be scheduled this Saturday at 2 o’clock, Babe. After the game all of the group will proceed to our private resort in Batangas. We’ll be having a small beach party there. All are invited to join.”

“Do we need to stay there overnight, Babe?”

“Yap. It’s time to unwind, Babe. After all, Sunday naman kinabukasan. We’ll go home after lunch.”

“You’re the boss. Are all employees will attend?”

“I’m not sure if they would join us. But probably they will able to watch the game. The venue of the event will be at Lipa. We’ll just hire a bus so that all will be accommodated.”

“It’s so nice of you, Babe… Excited na nga ako manood for the first time..”

“It’s my team against Ken’s team. They are all from showbiz, I think. And by the way, Rayver is in my team I hope there’s no problem with that, Babe? Last year kasi player din siya. This is just a game, Babe. Walang personalan.”

“Problem? I don’t care about him anymore. As long as he will leave me in peace, then, so be it.”

Gerald lifted her chin and kissed her. After the kiss, she slightly flicked his right ear.

“Babe, ano ba..Di ka na nahiya kay Jalal.”

“Sorry..I just can’t help myself but to kiss you, Love.” Bulong nito.

“Boss, nandito na po tayo.”

Unang bumaba si Gerald bago binuksan ang pintuan sa side ni Sarah. Inalalayan niya ang girlfriend pababa at magka-hawak kamay silang pumasok sa loob ng Gym. Nagulat pa si Sarah pagpasok nila sa dami ng nag-guwa-guwapohang mga lalaki na tumambad sa kanya. Na-star struck yata siya. Nakita niya sa may kalayuan sina Rayver at Christine na nakaupo. Malungkot na nakatingin sa kanya si Rayver habang si Christine naman ay nakasimangot.

“Just don’t mind them, Babe.” Bulong ni Gerald sa kanya.

“Hey bro!”

“Hey! Are your team complete?” Gerald asked as he approached him.

“Si Paolo nalang ang kulang. Dinaanan pa yata si Pauleen eh.” Sagot nito at tumingin sa kanya. “You must be Sarah? I’m Ken. He’s younger brother.” He offered his hand to her. “I guess this man has no plan of introducing you to me.” He smirked at Gerald.

Sarah hastily smiled at him. “It’s Sarah.” She said and accepted his hand.

“Hey, bro. No need for that.” Agaw nito sa kamay ni Sarah.
