Cristian sat patiently in the dark; whiskey in one hand, a cigar in another. He finally caught her. He constantly told her this but if Michelle had listened to him when he advised her not to treat him as a fool, she would have probably gotten away with her infidelity for a long time. That day, he was finally able to confirm all he had been speculating.
Truth be told, although he knew she was seeing someone far before that day, that was never the cause of his anger. It was the fact that Michelle was never the most cautious person he knew and if she was to get caught, that was going to affect all he worked for.
What he did not expect, was who she was cheating with. Justin Grayson of all people! Cristian played with the half-burnt cigar between his fingers as he tapped as he anxiously tapped his left foot on the floor and only after he felt a sting from the butt of his cigar did her rise up and out the suite.
Close to six hours had gone by and his wife was still not back. Clouded with rage, he briskly journeyed till he stood in front of suite number 583. He knocked and waited for an answer and as expected, not one second passes by and Shandell rushed to open the door.
She looked somewhat disappointed to see him. "Cristian." She acknowledged, "What are you doing here?"
"Can I come in?"
Shandell baulked for a brief second before setting out the way for him to walk in. Hands, in his pockets, he looked around as he stood in the middle of the room.
Shandell realized the deep frown on his face. She had to admit, he looked quite intimidating, if not scary. Beyond all that, she felt uncomfortable with him in the same room with her, considering he and her husband were not on the best terms and he wasn't around now. Also, what did they have to talk about?
"Justin is not here, if you wanted to see him." She blurted. He snickered and replied, "I know."
Silence colonized. Cristian focused his attention on the woman before him and for a brief second, he felt bad for her. From where he stood, he could feel her innocence oozing off. That and the ignorance of the world she had buried herself in. He cocked his head to the side as he drew conclusions in his mind. Did he really want to speak to her about the situation at hand?
"Cristian?" She called.
He straightened his neck as he spoke. "You're here alone," to which she replied awkwardly, "Yeah. Justin...he had to grab something."
"That's what he told you?"
Shandell was taken aback by his statement. "Yes!" She lied. If Cristian didn't know where exactly Justin was, the way her voice sailed into a high pitch gave her lie away. They fell in silence once more for close to a minute before Shandell interfered. "Cristian why exactly are you here?"
"Am I making you uneasy?"
"Well, you're not saying anything and it's kind of awkward because you're here alone with me."
He to two steps closer to her. "Are you scared I'm going to take advantage of you or something?" He questioned. "NO!" She exclaimed. A sly smirk crept onto his lips.
Shandell regained her composure before adding, "Not at all. It's just...you don't have the best relationship with my husband, and I don't think he'll be very happy to find you here. Not to mention the relationship I have with Michelle. He could have laughed at what she said.
"I thought we were friends." As he spoke, he took another step toward her. His intention from the start was to give her some insight of the adventures of her husband but he suddenly had a change of plan. It wouldn't be the first time he noticed her beauty and if Justin thought he could have his own wife, why couldn't he do the same.
