The Final Night

Seika's Pov

I shuffle around in the covers, my eyes burning from being awake for so long and the sunlight pouring in. It's 6am and the second night of celebration has come to an end.

A lot has happened in just two nights. I've learned so much about my past. Tonight is the last night of the ceremony and everything needs to go perfect.

I don't think getting everything together should be too hard though. The first two nights are the hardest and with formalities, only family is invited - which is just me and the guys.

It's okay. Everything will go well. I repeat this to myself over and over as my vision becomes hazy and I fade into a deep sleep.

Nighttime falls. The notorious 'By the seaside' ringtone of my phone blazes. I disconnect my phone from the charger to check the time. 6pm. Holy shit. I set the wrong alarm. I need to get up.

"Uhhh," I groan while dragging my zombie like body out of bed. It doesn't matter if I sleep throughout the entire day or entire night, I'm always tired.

After dressing myself up for the past two night I just want to stay in my pjs, but nevertheless I glam myself up in a traditional red kimono with beautiful white flowers and golden linens.

"Wow that red almost matches my hair color," I turn around to see Shinra standing by the bathroom door as I finish my makeup. He smiles widely in excitement, "Aren't you excited for tonight? I know I am!"

"I'm excited but scared," I answer honestly, "I have no idea of what to expect. I've just been winging it."

"You know Seika, you're a good person,"
Shinra walks up to me and takes my hands into his, "You've been taken advantage of your entire life, but you still have a kind heart. I respect that."

"Shinra, I-"

I'm at a lost for words. I don't know what to say. I didn't think Shinra would ever say such a thing.

"I know that the other guys feel the same way," Shinra continues, "After learning more about you, we feel so much closer to you. The Seika we first met was bitter and kept everything to herself. I've noticed through all this that you've started to open up more and I for one, would like to know more about the real Seika."

Shinra...I can't hold back the tears. I pull him into an embrace and say into his chest, "Thank you so much Shinra! I really mean it."

Shinra embraces me back. I gaze up at him and smile. He smiles back gently, wiping my tears away with his thumb. Bopping me on the head he says, "Don't cry, you're ruining your makeup. I didn't mean to make you cry."

I giggle and say, "I'm sorry. I'll stop being such a big baby now."

"Good." Shinra grabs my face and pulls on my cheeks.

"Ow! What was that for?" I exclaim.

"You're so cute," Shinra says while smiling. I feel my face heat up.

Pulling him away from me I reply, "We should go. The ceremony will start soon."

"Whatever you say!" Shinra follows behind me whistling happily.

A few hours have passed. Everything has been prepared and it's time for the father's gift. I sit outside on the patio to take a breather.
