"Mate." Napakalas ako sa pagkakayakap niya at tulalang tinitigan siya.

"A-anong s-sabi mo?" tanong ko. Baka kasi mali ang pagkakarinig ko.

"M-mate." Nahihiyang sabi niya saka tumungo.
