"Iva." Vivienne pointed her finger towards Seth. "You said you're treating me but why is Seth also here?"
Seth simply disregarded her and continued to eat, he laid claim on the last piece of braised beef brisket but Vivienne stopped him swiftly with her chopsticks. Casting him a deathly stare, she hissed, "Sethie, that's mine."
Determined, Seth showed no sign of giving up either. Both of them stared at each other for a moment too long before I shook my head lightly and picked my piece from the serving dish. Offering to Seth, I laughed lightly, "You can have mine."
"Thanks, Iva!" he beamed, before turning towards Vivienne and clicked his tongue disapprovingly. "Stingy and childish."
"You!" Vivienne threw her chopstick, aiming towards Seth but I knew that she didn't aim directly at him. Still, I reached my hand out to grab onto her chopstick midway and settled it down on the table. Feeling victorious, Seth sent a playful wink towards Vivienne to taunt her and I had to cut in before they start their weird antics again. "Alright, children. That's enough."
"Iva, stop shielding him!" Vivienne scolded as she shot me a look. "His manners are getting out of hand because you kept spoiling him!"
"You're the one to talk?" I raised a brow and looked towards her. "Who was the one who bought him a new desktop with customised accessories that actually cost more than a bomb?"
"If I knew you were bringing Sethie along for our date night, I would've thrown that desktop out of his window in the afternoon," she grumbled.
"Don't you dare, Viv," Seth gasped.
"I know all your weakness, boy," Vivienne grinned triumphantly. "So, you better be nice to me."
"Then, maybe this time Lethe would choose to throw me out on ground missions," Seth rolled his eyes at her.
"No (Don't they dare)!" Vivienne and I shouted in unison, frowning disdainfully.
Considering how protective we are towards Seth, we had kept him away from ground missions for the longest time. Most Elysium members were pushed out for missions the moment they reach sixteen. However, since Seth's a real genius techie, we found a way to convinced Harod that he would stay behind the scenes to help with missions to be off-site support and mission strategist. We know that we may not be able to shelter him forever, but as long as he's with us, we would do whatever it takes to prevent him from holding a gun and putting a bullet through anyone. The reason? Vivienne and I were forced into active missions since we were sixteen and the many close brushes with death and trauma had undoubtedly left drastic consequences on us.
