You know, they say that polar opposites are irresistibly attractive. You're the boy who remained indifferent even in the midst of a torrential storm, and I'm the girl who drowned herself in the undying chaos on a perfectly clear day. Both sides of a coin, poles apart.
As we paused to a stop in the middle of the street, staring right onto the slightly reflective glass of a storefront and smiling at each other's reflection, a thought floated in my mind. We looked like idiots together. You're still a million questions shrouding my mind while I'm an open book that got you flipping through the pages. When we turned around and looked at each other, we laughed. At me, at you, and at this stupid world who brought the two of us together on this cloudy night with no stars in the sky.
They're right, opposites attract and you looked exactly like the half that was missing from within me.

LONDON January Location: Tower Bridge Road

"Give me a moment," Jax said, entering the restaurant while I stood just outside looking down the street just to wait for him.
This is the first time I had been here and this street looked marvellous. It was like a beautiful canvas of weathered grey with street lamps basking it in a warmth that contrasted against the cold of January. At this hour, the sidewalks were almost emptied and replaced with peaceful silence though lights from the stores along the pavement still lit the streets. I turned back to peek into the restaurant, wondering what was taking Jax so long. Just then, he had walked out, with a large pizza box on one hand and a bag of two takeaway paper cups on the other.
"Aren't we dining in?" I asked, concerned.
"What's the fun?" he laughed.
"It's bloody cold out here!" I gasped.
"That's the point," he chuckled. Settling the box down with the paper cups on top of it, he pulled me close to him as he sat on the curb of the sidewalk. I stared at him with wide eyes and he grinned, revealing the dimples that indented deeply onto both side of his cheeks to reveal his excitement. Tugging on my wrist, he cooed, "Come here, sweetness."
"This is crazy!" I exhaled.
"You've done crazier things today, doesn't harm to add one more to the list."
Well, he has a point. Sighing, I stepped close to him and he settled me in between his legs. His hand reached to open up the pizza box and handed me a slice together with a napkin. He reminded softly, "It's hot, eat it slowly."
The warm aroma of the pizza immediately wafted into my nose, blessing me with the heavenly smell of cheese and tomatoes. I quickly took a bite and huffed the heat off my mouth as misty plumes condensed in the air. Jax watched and breathed out a small laugh as I noticed the skin crinkling by his eyes and a measure of satisfaction rose within me at hearing the nice sound of his laughter.
