The sound of Jax's voice lulled me to sleep, I felt myself being held in a space, in a pause. The night was great, only that, I woke up to the usual bright room, in this unusual dreamscape again.

I was alone, just like the previous time and it came to my realisation that this would be the case whenever Jax's around. If he was the last person I saw before closing my eyes, Sebastian wouldn't torment me in my dream.

But in all honesty, maybe I'd rather have Sebastian haunting me. Because at the very least, I knew who I was dealing with. This brightly lit space held too many questions and I had no idea where to start searching for an answer. Sighing, I straightened my arm and slowly pushed open the sheer white canopy surrounding the bed. My feet pivoted towards the door and I wasn't quite sure what would happen beyond there again.

Nothing changed since then, the endless passageway was still bright and filled with doors that were neatly lined on each side. I left the room that I was in and travelled down again. I counted my steps until I stopped in front of the door from the previous time. It must be this. The pressure in the air was suddenly raised and the unsettling feeling I felt was unmistakable. Nervously, I grabbed onto the knob and pushed on the door hard. I hovered my arm over my eyes, in anticipation of the bright rays of light. When I removed my arm shielding over my eyes, this time, I wasn't transported back to my own bedroom.

The first thing I felt was the roughness of the ground scraping against my bare feet and I dropped my head low. To my horror, I was standing on the edge of a rocky cliff and it would've taken a single step for my entire being to fall into the endless abyss beneath. Seized by an unknown fear, I felt those prickly emotions lurching into my throat and my blood freezing when a sudden gush of strong wind rushed past me, filling the surroundings with the pungent odour of blood. At this point, I was convinced that I wasn't alone because I heard a faint voice in the winds.

Jump, Isabel.

I heard it as a screech, scratching through the turbulent air before I felt a push on my back that forced my upper body to bend forward to face possible death. Quickly straightening my back, I turned sharply and rushed to take a few steps away from the edge. A laugh sounded and I lifted my legs into a sprint. My heart was crashing against my ribs painfully as I disregarded the sharp stones that were piercing through the skin of my soles and the crackling sounds of dead grass crushing against my feet, I had only wanted to escape.

The instinct to get away from that place was strong though I found myself running nowhere. This barren wilderness had nothing. There were no signs of life, not at all — just a hilly, blasted landscape. The voice travelled through the stale air again, and it sounded so muffled to the point I couldn't discern if it belonged to a male or female.
