Chapter 18: Stay Strong...
(Your/Y/N's POV)

It's been two days since that training session with the paladins. Everyone has been busy preparing the castle to leave after Sendak tried to take it over.

(Flashback: Day after training)

I woke up to the sound of the castle alarms blaring. I get up quickly and get changed into my armor before running to the control room to see Allura, Keith, Lance, and Hunk. They are watching a video feed from the front door of the castle. A small alien with a stone like sword is running towards the castle, screaming.

"Aw! He's so adorable!" Lance yelled out. I chuckle, "He is, but he seems to only be getting closer to the castle." I say, finally making people notice my exsistance. "Ah, (Y/N) good afternoon!" Allura said. My eyes widened, "A-Afternoon?!" I slightly yelled. "Sorry, my fault. I didn't realize the time when I finally let you go get sleep." Ari replied. I groaned before walking towards the castle front entrance.

I hear the the group that in the same room follow behind me as we make our way to the entrance. I walk out the door and to the bush that the small alien was hiding in. I sigh, "We're not here to harm you small one. You can come out." I said as I squatted down. The alien jumped out and pointed his sword at me.

"Hold on, he might be dangerous!" Keith said putting his sword in front of me in a protective manner. "Drop your weapon." He said to the small creature. I growled at Keith and he put his sword away. I waved my tail notifying him he did good.

I turn my attention back to the creature who's weapon is lowered and he looks star struck. I gave him a confused look, "Is there something wrong?" I ask. He shakes his head before pointing to my wings. "Y-You...Your the horned angel that is told about in legends!" He said before being to me. I chuckle, "That's a joke right? I'm no legend."

"However, may I ask you why your here brave warrior?" I asked. He nodded, "I am Klizap, our village is just over gazrel hill and I came seeking answers as to why the lion goddess is angerd with her followers." He said. Allura pulled me backwards and takes my place. "The lion goddess is not angerd, what you have been seeing is Voltron and that very huge robot is here to protect you." She says with a smile, I roll my eyes slightly.

"How do you know for sure?" Klizap asked. "Because I'm Princess Allura and this is my castle." She said over confident. Klizap gasped "Lion goddess!" He bowed to Allura who just let him stay down like that. I stood up having enough of this I walked back inside, hearing footsteps following me.

"Why are you following me?" I asked. "Well, if you must know I need my fiance to not run away again." I heard a dark voice say before things went black.

(Flash back end)

Yeah, that's all I can remember of that event. Apparently in the final battle between the paladins and Sendak I had woken up and threw my sword to Keith cause his was across the room. What really confuses me is why he could use my sword. Is it because I healed him? I shook my head before realizing I had subconsciously walked to the hallway of rooms. I heard crying coming from Pidge's room so I went to the door and knocked.

I heard a gasp and some sniffles before a sad voice came through, "W-Who is i-it?" Pidge asked. "It's me (Y/N), can I come in?" I asked. I saw the door open slightly and I walked in. Pidge was sitting on her bed so I closed the door behind me, I walked over to her and sat next to her. "What's wrong?" I asked wrapping a wing around her.

She sniffled again, "I-I miss my family..." She said, my ears went down. "I-I can understand how you feel." I said, Pidge's head shot up to look at me. "Y-You lost your family too?" She asked. I nodded, "But I can't get mine back. They're gone. You have a chance to get your family back and I'll help you no matter what." I said with a sad smile. Pidge jumped onto me, hugging me.

I rub her back and her tears start spilling out. I shoosh her gently, trying to keep her calm. "It's alright. I'm here. I'll stay as long as you need me too." I say as I move us slowly so I'm laying on her bed and she's laying half-on and half-off of me.

I pet her hair and her tears slow down. She fell asleep quickly, I smile slightly before wrapping the left wing around her again. I wrapped my tail around her waist as well. I let her sleep as I start to think about my family. 'Mom...Dad...Hera...Denkru...I miss you all...so much...' I thought as a tear rolls down my cheek. I wipe it away quickly though.

I sigh and look at Pidge who's still asleep. "Stay strong Katie. I'll do the same." I whisper with a smile and tighten my grip on her a bit more.
