𝖎𝖙'𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖓𝖊𝖝𝖙 day and I haven't spoken to Oscar since our argument last night, I feel like he's avoiding me— and I probably deserve it since I raised my voice at him, but I still stand by what said about Cesar
Oh how I miss Cesar— I need to talk to Oscar— I can be upset with him I just can't stay mad at him— if that made any sense at all. But to my luck— Oscar isn't here—but I'm not all alone— every since I got shot Oscar always has one of his guys by my side when he is not around—today it's Mateo, he's new
But they're not allowed in the house when I'm inside by myself because even though, Oscar and them are in the same gang, he still doesn't trust them around me. So they sitting in a car that's parked in front of the house
There was knock on the door, it must be one of them they probably have to use the restroom, they knock again—they can just open the door—it's unlocked
I walk over to the door and opened it, I surprised that I didn't see one of Oscar's guys that was standing in front of me

He wore a suit with a satchel that sat on his side, I stood there quietly dumbfounded as I stared back at the mystery man, "hello is miss josephine ann smith here?" he asked properly
"um-that's me" I say carefully
"it's nice to meet you—i'm james henderson" he says holding out his hand, but I don't shake it—call me paranoid, he put down his hand "why are you here?" I asked
"I'm your mentor" he says, "my what?" I asked, "your mentor" he repeated himself, "what the hell is that?" I asked, "it's um—I basically drive you places much as appointments—" he says as I cut him off
"What appointments?" I asked, "doctor appointments and physical therapy, you have one tomorrow—I wanted to introduce myself before showing up" he says
I look behind him to see Mateo's car, I looked back frantically at James, I need hurry and get him out of here, "I didn't ask for a mentor" I say, "I was told a parent signed agreement for my presents" he says
"Both my parents are gone" I say, "I'm sorry—if I am not needed you can have a legal guardian to sign papers for my assistance to be terminated—but unfortunately I don't have those papers on me" he says
I frantically looked back and forth between him and Mateo's car, I can see him but he hasn't noticed James here talking to me. "i need you to leave—like now" I say
"um okay— so do you want to attend the appointment tomorrow?" he asked, "yeah sure whatever—can you leave now?" I say as I look back at Mateo in his car
"yes ma'am—I'll be back tomorrow at 2pm to pick you up" he says
"great—bye now" I say as I quickly closed door on him, I looked out the window discreetly as James got in his car and drove away, I sighed in relief as Mateo doesn't notice him being here in the first place
I sat down on the couch, I sunk down in the cushion as I realized what I've done
