Dr. Benzedrine:

"Join me. Come on Benzi it will be fun," Mr. Sandman said. Following me around my apartment. "Join you were? Who are we meeting?" I asked. I glanced up. Peering over the edge of my book at my best friend with the Cheshire Cat smile. He looked like a nightmare, but has the kindest heart. Wide black lips that stretch across his face. Shaggy black hair. Hazel eyes. Dresses in black and gold with boots laced up to his knees and glittering black cape. "Her name is Miss Sandman, but everyone calls her Star. I found my counterpart," he said joyfully. Hollywood Hills has an odd thing called A Counterpart. It's like a soulmate. However, not everyone falls in love with their's. Some are just best friends or enemies. Like a doppelgänger almost. "She invited us over for tea in their garden. I heard there is a maze," Sandy explained, "she said to bring a friend."

"How do I know this isn't a date?"

"Because her friend is there looking out for her like an older sister and it's not. I promise it's not."

"Sounds like a date," I set my book down. "Star says it's not. Her friend is afraid of dates or something like that. I don't know," Sandy waltzed over to the hook were my overcoat is. He picked it up. Along with my top hat and rushed over to me. "Now?" My jaw dropped. He nodded excitedly. I unfolded my sleeves and button them. Taking my coat, I slipped it on. Adjusted my bow tie. Sandy handed me my hat. Placing it on my head. Following Sandy out.

We walked to a spinning tea cup ride. Sandy and I met a young female sitting in one of the cups. The ride came to a holt. The powder blue tea cup with mint trimming circled one last time. Turning to face us. With short emo black hair, mesmerizing blue and green eyes, and wide smile like Sandman's. She grinned. She had a black tee with fishnet sleeves. Golden skinny jeans and black combat boots. Her cape was navy blue with a few stars on it and a hood. She jumped out of the cup and into Sandy's arms.

"Sugar, it's great to see you again," Sandy told her. Kissing her cheek. "You can just call me Star," she blushed. "No way, that's my special name for you because you're sweet like sugar," he replied. He set her down. Miss Sandman stood the same height as me. Once she noticed me, Star stepped back and looked at her feet. "Hi...I'm Miss Sandman," her voice was light and shy, "it's my job to care for animals in Normal Land. I watch over the ones without homes or people to love. Everyone calls me Star....um...it's nice to meet you." "Hello Star, I'm Dr. Benzedrine. I work as a chemists," I gave her a kind smile and held out my hand. She lifted her head. "Did you say Benz...Ben...um... sorry I have trouble with some words," Star's face grew pink, "but I know your counterpart." She took my hand gently and lead me to their home in the tea pot. Sandy followed. " Oooo, Benzi's counterpart," he teased.

Star pushed the door open. "Lady, you'll never guess who Sandy brought over," she shouted. The room was a wonderland of flowers in full bloom in the middle of summer. The sky was golden. Down the cobble stone path way was a clearing. Pulling me close behind. Star's friend sat at a round off white patio table. She was drinking tea under the green umbrella trees. She looked up at me with dark chocolate eyes. I never loved chocolate until now. Curly dark brown hair, half pinned up by a black and yellow bow with white polka dots and yellow feather. A pale pastel yellow dress with satin bodice and corset back, lace sleeves that sat off her shoulders. The skirt poofed out with tool and lace. It stopped at her knees. Her cheeks were rose pink and small cherry red lips like mine. Star let go of my hand. She leaned on one of the chairs. "I found your counterpart," she laughed. Star jumped back and walked around sitting in the chair closest to her best friend. Leaning as close to her as possible "Isn't he cute. You said you wouldn't never find him in a million years and here he is," Star whispered loudly, "He has a cute butt too." She set her tea cup down and glared at her.
