Claire's POV

"Hello?" I hit the answer button before putting it on speaker.

"C, you almost ready?" I shove my laptop in my bag and zip it up and pick up my phone and take it off of speaker and move it by my ear, "Yeah I'm heading out the door now." I pick up my bag from off of my bed and sling it over my shoulder.

I turn on the radio and the song playing just so happens to be All About That Bass. I start nodding towards the beat and Aiden turns to me and says, "If you want you can sing it, you have an amazing voice."

"I can't sing at all but I really want to sing it,

Yeah it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
All the right junk in all the right places
I see the magazines working that Photoshop
We know that sh*t ain't real
Come on now, make it stop
If you got beauty beauty just raise 'em up
'Cause every inch of you is perfect
From the bottom to the top
Yeah, my momma she told me don't worry about your size
She says, boys they like a little more booty to hold at night
You know I won't be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie doll,
So, if that's what's you're into
Then go ahead and move along

Because you know I'm all about that bass,
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass

I'm bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny b*tches Hey
No, I'm just playing I know you think you're fat,
But I'm here to tell you that,
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top
Yeah, my momma she told me don't worry about your size
She says, boys they like a little more booty to hold at night
You know I won't be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie doll,

So, if that's what's you're into
Then go ahead and move along

Because you know I'm all about that bass,
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bas-"

We just pulled into the parking lot and I instantly stop singing. It's just a habit. I don't like when people I don't know stare at me— I just can't take it.

Aiden pulls into a stall and we both get out of the car. There's so many eyes on us, I feel like I'm shrinking by the second. Aiden wraps his arm around my shoulder and coos, "Hey, there's nothing to worry about. No one's gonna mess with you, especially since you showed up with me." I hesitantly nod and take a deep breathe before we start walking towards the office.

Aiden opens the door and holds it open for me. I know there's a whole bunch of people whispering about me, I can hear them crystal clear. A lady sitting behind the counter greets Aiden. "Hello. AIden. Please tell me you're not here because you did something stupid."

"No, Katelyn. Just came to help a friend get their schedule. I haven't done anything and got caught... yet." I roll my eyes typical Aiden— with all his cockiness.

"Let me guess, you're Claire Gilbert?" She asks with a raised eyebrow. I nod my head and she beams at me while saying, "Well it's nice to meet you. I'm Ms. Harper, but your friend here likes to call me by my first name because he's in here more than he should be so he knows what my first name happens to be."
