Ella keeps on looking at the clock and it's kind of getting annoying. I mean I know we're all anxious and everything for Prom tonight but throughout the whole day I've wanted to strangle at least one of my friends. I don't know if it's them squealing whenever they get the chance or all the PDA that is making me want strangle them already. Sydney and Dylan are boyfriend and girlfriend now. It's been two weeks since the day Dylan asked Sydney to the Prom and admitted his feeling for her. As for Ella and Trevor their just dating cause apparently he hasn't asked her to be his girl yet.
I've been trying to stay away from Aiden as much as possible especially because he asked me the most horrifying question ever. Like who the heck asks their neighbor and best friend if they want to have a threesome with them and a slut. I'm been avoiding him pretty well being that I haven't actually 'talked' to him since the 'incident'. It's just been a nod or a hey to acknowledge each other. Now I started talking to Spence later when he showed up at my house on Sunday. We ended up watching movies and eating pizza all day. I'm not sure who Spence is taking because he won't tell me. Emmett said he'd probably take one of the decent girls that asked him. I don't know if he's actually sticking to that now though. Then there's Noah. I have no clue what's on his agenda because he's been a little distant lately.
But I have been hanging out with Kale a lot now. I've been going and hanging with him at some of his favorite places from where he lives now. It was pretty fun I remember on Friday we went to this diner that had karaoke night. He signed both of us up, even with my protests, and we actually didn't sound that bad.
"So what song do you want to sing?" Kale and I just sat down at one of the booths. "E-excuse me? What are you talking about, Kale?" He laughs and picks up a menu and then flags down a waiter. "Karaoke. So what are we singing cause I already signed us up?" I kick him in the shin and he leans down, holding his shin. The waitress comes and asks, "Hi! I'm Tiffany. For starters can I get you two something to drink?"
Kale sits up and glares at me, "Yeah, can we get two iced teas and some cheddar cheese fries." She scribbles it down on a small notepad and then leaves. Kale turns to me and starts to rub his shin, "What the heck was that for?" I give him an innocent smile, "I don't know what you're talking about Kaley Whaley."
He sends me a glare and I just keep up my innocent look. Tiffany comes back with our drinks and Kale tells her, "We're gonna be singing Need You Now tonight for karaoke." She nods and then jogs over to the DJ and whispers in his ear. "What do you mean we," I ask Kale pulling my leg back in case I feel like kicking him for his own stupidity again.
"We are going to sing Need You Now by Lady Antebellum," he says with a cocky smile. I kick him a little bit harder than before and then shrug and give him another innocent look, "Oops!" I pick up my ice tea and start sipping it. Tiffany comes back with our fries and then we order our burgers. We talked about a whole bunch of things and he asked about my Prom since he knew it was coming around.
"Well, I think I'm gonna go by myself. I don't really have anyone to go with. Plus most of the guys are stuck up assholes and I don't want it to be ruined just because I picked the wrong person to go with." I huff out a long breath and Kale just nods in agreement. "Go to Prom with me? I won't screw it up and I'm your best friend. Plus I wouldn't want you to go alone. That would just be too boring. Plus you'll get to show off me because who doesn't want to be with this?" He gesture to himself and I roll my eyes. "Don't you have Prom the same night?" He nods but shrugs, "I'd miss it. Plus I'm really curious to know how everyone would react." I laugh and shake my head.
I ponder his offer for a minute and right when I'm gonna tell him my decision the microphone is tapped a few times cause my eyes to flick over to the stage. The DJ picks up the mic and then says, "Hey folks! So tonight is karaoke night and I see a few familiar faces in the crowd. Glad to have you back and for the new faces welcome to karaoke night. First off we have Kale and Claire singing Need You Now." Kale gets up and pulls me up towards the stage. I desperately try to get him to let me go and let me sit back down, but he just pulls me even faster.
