Chapter 21

Sorry for the late update guys! But as what I promised three days ago, I'll TRY to update everyday for you guys since it's our Christmas breaaak yay! Enjoy this update :)

I turned to look at Harry after my father shut the front door close. He was still looking at the ground, like it was so interesting all of a sudden.

"Harry," I whispered then touched his right arm but I quickly pulled it away when he winced and groaned in pain.

"I'm sorry!"

He breathed in deeply then sighed, "'S kay." He mumbled. "I'll go ahead now, I'm sorry to what I've done."

He looked at me, his green eyes were full of emotions like regret and pain, he was almost tearing up. Since I couldn't stand seeing him like that, I looked away.

He was about to leave when I stepped in front of him. "Harry, it wasn't your fault."

He looked away, "See you later, Alice."

I stopped him, holding him at arms lenght. "I'm sorry for all the things my father said." I looked at him straight in the eyes.

He bit his lower lip, "It's okay."

"No, it's not!" I exclaimed.

He looked at me, questioningly.

"What he said was rude, and I know you weren't like that!"

"It hurt." He admitted, looking away.

"I'm sor-"

"I am completely aware that I'm only an adopted son and that I will never ever be a perfect and an ideal son of William Styles. . ." His voice was so low I almost couldn't hear what he was saying.

"I am also completely aware of the fact that my adopted parents have a biological son and daughter who are better than me in so many ways and that I will never ever be as great as them when it comes to the family business and every single fucking thing." He paused then took a deep breath.

He wasn't angry or bitter while saying those stuffs too me, he was just. . . Sad.

"I tried, Alice." He continued. "I tried so fucking hard to fit in the family I was destined to be with!" He yelled. "But even if I try hard, it's always not enough!" He ran his hands on his face then ran it through his hair tugging at the end.

"I tried, Alice, I tried." He knew that I heard his voice crack so he quickly turned around. His back was now facing me.

My heart clenched. It hurt seeing him like this.

He was always strong and confident but behind those persona was a broke and fragile guy striving hard to fit in on the world he was placed into.

I hugged him from the back. My arms wrapped tightly around his torso. "Even though I don't know you for a very long time, I know that you're a great guy, Harry."

He was breathing hard, I could also feel his body shaking and in that moment, I knew that he was crying.

I hugged him tighter, "Please don't cry, Harry."

I could feel the tears forming in the corners of my eyes now and it felt like someone kept on stabbing a knife in my chest.

He sniffed and I felt his left arm moved. He sighed then stood up straight.

I stopped hugging him and wiped away the tears that streamed down my face beforw he turned to face me again.

His eyes were still watery and red as he examined my face. "Don't cry for me, Alice. I'm not worth your tears." He whispered as he wiped my cheeks using the back of his left hand.

I sniffed then wiped the tears the were starting to form in thw corners of my eyes again but it kept on coming back.

I hugged him again, I heard him winced but I kept on hugging him tighter.

"Let them know and see that you're worth it." I said, clutching the back of his shirt.

"You deserve everything that you have right now." I stated. I could feel his uninjured hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him and holding or hugging me tightly making my heart melt.

I could feel my heart beating frantically in my chest and my whole body started to shake. I wish we could stay like this forever.

"And most importantly," I continued, trying so hard to speak without my voice shaking. I took a deep breath, looked up at him in the eyes as I placed my hand on his cheek, "You deserve to be a Styles."
