Aaron takes a deep breath before stepping into the area where you meet the prisoners. Aaron keeps postponing the dates because he has been missing them. He wants to know the truth from Breanna's dad and if he doesn't get them, he will feel like that is a dead end. When he sees Jordan coming to the phone as he sits down, they both pick up the phones together, and Jordan talks first."Hey, son. How are you doing?"
"That's all you gotta say?" He grimaced a little.
"What else do you want me to say?" Jordan mumbled.
"You don't know why I'm here?"
"No. Tell me."
"Your daughter is missing, and I told her to keep in touch with you no matter what, so have she been writing to you."
"Yeah. She is not missing; she just don't want to be found. She will come home when she is ready."
"Okay. That's good that someone knows that she's okay, but I will find her. I don't care what she says. I don't want to think the worst of your daughter, my wife, but is she cheating on me?"
"No. She's not."
Aaron sighs in relief, but there are some questions that are remained
unanswered, and he is determined to get them."Then why did she left me without a word, leaving our kids behind also?"
"She thought that it was the best thing to do at the time, but I'm sure she realized now that it was a mistake."
"I just want to talk to her, you know. I need answers, and I need to hear them from her. If she can't be woman enough to say what she wants from me, then we don't need to be married. We are supposed to conquer every obstacle together, but how we are going to do that if she is running away for me."
"I know, son. I'm just respecting my daughter's wishes. She told me that
she wants to be alone right now, and she needs a break from everything. It was too overwhelming for her. It felt like she couldn't escape from the feelings and thoughts she was having.""Bullshit! She should have told me that. I would have given her some space." He yelled. "How the fuck she thinks I'm feeling?! Huh? She's making me assume that I did something to her to push her away from me!"
"Calm your ass down. You don't wanna
get loud up in here. Chill out." Jordan spoke sternly with a mug on his face.Aaron glares at him then looks away, trying to bring his temper down then his anger turns into sadness.
"I missed her, man. The kids missed her, and they asked about her all the time. What am I supposed to tell them?"
"Tell them that she is on the journey to finding herself, so she can be the best mother she can to them, and she loves them so much."
Aaron nods while rubbing his forehead because it doesn't comfort him then he looked at Jordan.
"Do you know where she is?"
"No, not exactly cause she has traveling a lot, but she is safe."
"You got an address for her?"
"Yeah, but I can't give it to you."
"Why not?" Aaron creased his forehead as his face grew confused.
"Breanna specifically said to not give it to you because she is not ready to talk to you."
"Okay. I understand. Just please... please tell her that I'm thinking about her and that we missed her and tell her that my number is still the same."
"I will, Aaron." He softly smiled.
"Thank you." Aaron responded while dropping his head down.
"Aaron?"
"Yeah." He looked up at Jordan and his facial expression looked like he was going to confess something to him.
"Have Breanna ever told you why I was in here?" Jordan questioned.
"For possession of drugs and robbery. She told me that you had a lot of charges in your previous years."
"That's not true. She doesn't know the real reason, and I plan to keep it that way."
"What are you in here for?" Aaron asked while being curious.
"Murder."
Aaron's mouth drops a little, but he can't say that he is surprise because he look like the type to kill.
"I'm innocent." Jordan mumbled lowly, removing the mouthpiece away from his lips.
"Then why you-,"
"Shh." He shushed Aaron as he covered part of the phone where his mouth was. "These calls are recorded."
Aaron nods, keeping his eyes on him.
"You know the person?" He asked, trying to hint on finding out who was responsible for the crime.
Jordan nods his head then Aaron mouths the word who. Jordan gets up to get a paper and pen then sit back on the chair, writing a name down. He slide it through the small opening to the other side, passing to Aaron. He opens the paper and reads the name.
Kimberly
Aaron's eyes widens because that is Breanna's mother name.
"Got to protect the people you love, man. Always remember that."
"Yeah, I hear you."
"Times up!" The guard yelled.
"Take care of your kids and continue to be strong for them. Don't lose hope." Jordan softly smiled.
"Okay and I won't."
Jordan get up and get recuffs to the handcuffs as the guard walk him out the room. Aaron walks down the hallway, going to the front of the building, looking at the lady at the desk.
"Ma'am?"
"Yes."
"My wife Breanna forgot what kind of card she was using to put in her father's account, so could you find it out for me?"
"Yeah, I can. What's her last name?"
"Russell."
Aaron looks at her name tag as she type on the keyboard. Vivia. She looks up at Aaron and smiles.
"She was using a debit card."
"Can you turn the computer screen around, so I can get the information off of it?"
"Sure."
She turns the computer around then gives him a paper and pen to write all the card information down and the time she last used it.
"Thank you." He smiled.
"You're welcome. Have a nice day." She spoke as she returned the smile.
Aaron folds the paper and walks out the building, slowly getting in his car then call the customer service to find out the location to where the card is. After he finished the call, he looks confuse to why she was there in the first place, knowing that they have never been there before.
Colorado. He thought.
"What the fuck is she doing there?" He mumbled.
