Chapter 45// im going where?

Jaime POV
I woke up to a knocked out Rebecca laying on my floor with an open laptop in front of her face. "Becca?" I said rubbing my eyes trying to figure out what is happening. I was in that stage of 'just waking up where am I' sort of thing. I took my phone off the bedside table and looked at the date. Friday the 21. Hmm okay. Wait. FRIDAY?!?!? "BECCA GET UP WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!" She sprang up and run to my closet. She grabbed my uniform. Luckily I have two of each thing for my uniform so it was no problem. I ran into the bathroom and washed my face and put in my contacts. I don't remember taking them out, maybe I did and was half asleep and it just happened. Oh well no time. I did my makeup, or what I usually put on, and ran down the steps with Rebecca trailing right behind me.
I grabbed my house keys and my phone and ran out the door. Yesterday was a 'fun day' where we don't get any homework and for the people who are good during the year get a special party and we can leave our school bags at school. Worked out perfectly, eh? Yea. We sprinted to the bus stop and made it just in time.
We got on just as the bus driver was about to close the door. We thanked her for letting us get on and went straight to our seat. I was beyond tired. "And where just have you two been?" Sammy asked.
"Sleepover." We said is unison.
Sammy and hayes just nodded in understandmeant and I bobbed my head back causing it to slam back onto the seat. Just as my eyes were closing and I was just about to slip into that wonderful sleep phase. Bam. The bus stopped and we were at school. I shot my eyes open then rolled them. Ugh.
I walked over to my locker and grabbed my books for first period. Math. I trudged to math and found myself talking to Callie. Callie is in my math class too. "Why are you so tired? It's Friday! You should be happy." I just groaned and she just laughed. She patted my back and mumbled "only 6 more periods." I just gave her a little smile. She returned it and we walked the rest of the way In silence. Not a bad silence. A comfortable silence.
When we were at lunch Hayes asked me to meet him after school at the playground In the park.
I went straight there after school and waited for Hayes. I saw him walk up and I just waited to see what he was going to do next. He grabbed my wrists gently and dragged me over to a near by tree. He started to climb it so I followed. We reach a mid way point to the tree and he stopped. The tree split into two here and you could see the entire park perfectly.
This view really made you think how beautiful our town was. I was just looking around everywhere at was thinking about everything. Literally everything. I have been trying to push everything that has happened into the back of my mind, but something about this spot just triggered everything. I realized what was happening with everything and I couldn't bear it. I looked at Hayes with tears about to spill and his wide grin turned into a worried frown. He patted the spot next to me and I made my way to it trying not to fall off of the tree.
I sat down and he enveloped me into a bear hug. I just sat there silently weeping into his shoulder. He started to slightly rock me back and fourth until i finally calmed down. I was still sniffling a bit but I just ignored it.
"Can I ask you something?" Hayes asked scratching the back of his neck.
"Yea sure." I piped with a smile on my face.
"Do you. Um. Wanna go to Magcon with me?" Hayes asked in one breath.
I just sat there in shock. Me? He wants me to go to MAGCON? Me? I just nodded my head really face and I probably looked like a chicken but I didn't care. I hugged hayes so tight that we almost fell out of the tree.
He just chuckled and I couldn't help but laugh too. I called my mom and asked her if I could go with the guys and since her and Elizabeth (hayes and Nash's mom) she said sure if Elizabeth was letting her kids go. Then sure. I was over joyed and I literally started jumping up and down. Hayes and I got down from the tree and he kissed me gently on my cheek while getting down. It was perfect.
We held hands as we walked back to our houses. When he dropped me off, he kissed my lips that time. It was short and sweet but it was perfect. I stood on my tip toes and whispered in his ear. "Thank you. For everything." He just smiled and gave my hand a little squeeze. Man I love this kid. I guess I finally admitted it to myself. I am in love with Hayes Grier.
