Zcyhie Elizabeth's POV

I checked my watch as I entered the school ground; I am thirty minutes late. Even though I had set out early, even though I have done nothing except sit and stare at a single page of physics all morning, and out the window all morning, I'm still late. I paused the moment in the air-conditioned lobby, take a deep breath, then stride, heart pounding, in the direction of the canteen.

I saw him the same moment that he saw me. He was sitting at a small table in the corner, he has a blue checked shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and faded jeans. He looked up, met my gaze.

"Hi there, Elizabeth," he said.

"Hi there, Andrew." I gritted my teeth, and pursed my lips. "I told you to never call me Elizabeth again." I added.

The corner of his mouth lifted, disregarding what I said. "You're too early for your next subject," he mumbled.

"I know right," I said, giving him a lopsided grin as I raised my middle finger. His fingers rest for a moment below the belt loop of my jeans. It was casually done, and with complete authority. It gave me a hollow feeling in my stomach.

Calm down, I told myself. Look him squarely in the eye. Get right to the point. "Why did you ask me to meet you here?"

He smiled. "Thought you might like some coffee."

"I don't drink coffee."

"Well," he said, grinning. "Then, why are you here?"

"You're bullshitting me! I shouted. I pushed back my chair. He reached out, grabbed my wrist before I get up.

"Relax," he mumbled. "I'm just kidding." He continued.

I looked at his fingers. They were clamped tight against my skin. He loosened his grip.

"I invited you here because I wanted to apologize." He snapped, in quite another voice. "In person."

There's a surprise reaction showed in my face, I suppose. He stopped smiling.

"I'm sorry for everything I've done before."

"Damage have been done. Apology accepted." I halt momentarily. I stood up from my chair and gaze at him."Bye Drew. Thank you."

A smile curved his lips that spread slow and easy across his high cheeks.

Three days have passed after the incident. The buildings burnt out, my grandfather in the hospital and Margareth's death. Everyone mourned for her but after, everything just went to normal.

The Library today, was a cold overcast day. I'm in front of the library, in the main entrance. The first thing that I could see was the huge stair connecting different floors of the library. The ceiling was woodish with square window on the right side and ten grayish lamps hanging around it. It wasn't a busy day here, It could be because its late and most of the students were in their classes.
