Percy

I looked out of my palace windows bleakly. Calypso stood in the gardens, tending to the various underwater plants. I smiled as I watched her, carefully and gently care for them, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She looked up, and caught me staring.

She blushed, and rolled her eyes. "What are you looking at?" She called.

"The most beautiful woman on this planet," I replied, walking out the door to see her. I took her in my arms, and kissed her.

"Lord Perseus, you have a visitor," a merman said nervously.

I turned.

There was Annabeth Chase, with a ridiculous looking breather in her mouth. I guess the pressure didn't crush immortals.

"What are you doing here?" I demanded. "How dare you walk into my-"

"Percy," Calypso stopped me. "Maybe we should see what she needs.

I created a giant air bubble, and all 3 of us walked into it. Annabeth took the breather out of her mouth. She was drenched, and looked ridiculous. She deposited it in her pocket. I had to admit, it was sort of cool that she'd figured out how to build such a small thing that worked that well- it was only the size of a harmonica, and black.

"There's going to be an attack on camp," Annabeth said. "At daybreak. The Olympians believe you're going to be attacking Mount Olympus tomorrow, so they want to beat you to it. Crush the problem at its root."

My mouth dropped. "How could they-"

"Heed my warning. Leave for Half-Blood Hill. It's your time to fight, Percy." Annabeth frowned. "I suppose we'll be on opposite ends of the front this time."

"The gods are paranoid!" I yelled. "What-"

"I can't tell you anymore." Annabeth said.

She reached her hand out. I took it, and we shook.

"It was nice fighting with you," Annabeth said. She said it in a way that it might have been 'it was nice knowing you.'

"Thank you," I managed. "For warning me."

"Go get the campers ready," Annabeth pleaded. "You can't let innocent demigods die."

"I'll go with you," Calypso said.

I was extremely grateful for her in this moment.

"Not a moment late, Percy," Annabeth bid me goodbye. She then flashed into her true godly form, and disappeared.

"That doesn't sound good," Calypso said.

"No," I agreed.

I headed for the door but she caught my wrist on the way out. "I'm with you."

For a moment, it brought me out of the present, and into a little bubble of protection. It was, just the two of us. If everything else went sour, we had each other.

She then pulled me in and kissed me. I stayed there for a moment, in my own little world with her, before she pulled away.

"I love you," I managed a smile.

"I love you too, Perseus." She said. "Together?"

"Broken together. Finally together. Always together." I said.

She took my hand and we walked towards camp together.

When we rose out of the surf, I saw Camp Half-Blood sleeping peacefully in the night. It was still about 4 am, and they looked like they were in no movement to fight.

They weren't planning an attack. The gods were just going to murder a bunch of innocent people.

I bolted towards the cabins, yelling. "Up! Everybody up! Arm yourselves! There's going to be an attack!"

Campers began rousing away, scrambling everywhere, asking questions, yelling. Armor clattered.

I grabbed Will Solace from the Apollo cabin. "There's an attack coming on camp. Get everybody together, spread the word."

"From where?" Will asked.

"I have no idea- sky? All around? Prepare for anything!" I said.

"Who's attacking?" Will continued with the questions. I didn't blame him.

"The Olympians." I said. "They believe there's an uprising."

Will looked around. "Well there is but, it's not here. It's moved to the center of manhattan by now. Why would they attack here? We're loyalist! We would help them! We'd defend Olympus, we gave our lives for it-"

"I don't know, Will," I admitted. "They're paranoid." I turned to Calypso. "Can you-"

"I got it," she said, reading my mind. She flashed me a beautiful, timeless smile before running towards the arena to set up a temporary field house with some Apollo campers. I didn't know how the campers would do fighting gods, after all...

I bolted to the Big House looking for Chiron.

Apparently already awake from the noise coming from the cabins, Chiron was out on the porch. "What is this?"

"There's to be an attack on camp led by the Olympians," I said.

"Why that can't be," Chiron shook his head. "Why-"

"There's been an uprising," I said. "They want to wipe out all the threats."

"Baaaah, That's like burning a whole field just to kill one mouse," a Satyr said.

"Agreed," I said.

"We don't have enough to defend against an attack from the gods, I fear," Chiron said.

"We'll use what we've got," I said. "Some of the other Olympians will most likely back us up."

A flash rose from the cabins area, and I turned to see Ares and Aphrodite in full battle armor. I wasn't sure what Aphrodite would do- spray Zeus with killer perfume? But I'd take all the help I could get.

Ares looked around sheepishly. I could hear his whining from all the way down in the commons. "There are generals and there are foot soldiers. Some of you shouldn't be in the army at all." He coughed.

A/N THATS NOT A MOVIE REFERENCE, THAT WAS A QUOTE LONG BEFORE THOSE AWFUL MOVIES STOLE IT.

"Ares." I grumbled. Nevertheless, it was time to put down old grudges and pick up arms to fight together, right?

"I suppose our defenses are in line," Chiron said. "I'll go check and make sure." With that, he galloped off into the valley below.

Some of the minor gods flashed to the commons to join us. I knew no amount of us could stop the Olympians, however.

I shook my head.

Calypso came up beside me. "After this battle, I'm never letting you go."

"I fear I might face Tartarus again after this," I said.

"Well, we'll go together."
