Percy
I walked into my palace, my hand in Calypso's. The sea stone columns stood straight and tall, seashells covering them. The gardens outside and the coral reef sparkled in a rainbow of tropical colors. The saltwater fountain in the corner hummed. The various underwater tapestries glinted in the sunlight.
"Here we are, milady." I said. "Just as we left it."
"And I'm not leaving you," Calypso said. I kissed her.
"I believe we owe Annabeth a thank you," I said. "We'll never be able to show our gratitude."
"We do," agreed Calypso. "But for now, I just want to drink in the fact that we're here, and we're free, and it's just you and me."
"I would've been fine on that gods forsaken island," I said. "As long as I had you."
She smiled. "For a little while, it felt like old times."
"And no Olympian drama," I agreed. "No camp drama."
"No saving the world," Calypso said. "Leaving it up to everybody else."
"You're my world," I said, pulling her in close. "As long as I have you, my world is complete."
"You saved my world," Calypso said. "I was lost before you came."
"You know... leaving your island the first time, I knew you would always be my greatest what if..." I said. "Then, I just realized I couldn't leave you as a what if. I had to find out what would happen."
Calypso smiled. "Percy, you found your way back to me. I'll never be able to repay you. No man has ever tried to fight fate for me."
"I shouldn't have ever left you in the first place," I shook my head.
"You had to save the world," Calypso shrugged. "Leave it to my handsome hero. As long as you're here now."
"Who cares about how I got here," I agreed.
"Finally together," Calypso smiled into my chest.
"Finally together." I repeated.
