Chapter 9- Prickly Mangoes

I walked over to Tony and used the time stone to help Tony. Again.

"That's right! Y/n was taken by Thanos! Where is he?" Steve exclaimed

"I don't know where exactly, I have no planet, but... it was a lot like earth. Except plants were different. It wasn't inhabited by anyone! And... what did he call it..."

"The garden..." Nebula intruded.

"That's right! The garden! Actually, I still don't remember..."

"What did the plants look like?"

"They were like... prickly mangoes..."

"Did you say prickly mangoes?" Steve asked.

"Yes! But they were HUGE!"

"Wait, why did he let you go?" James asked me.

"He didn't. I teleported the hell out of there."

"Did you see the stones?"

"Actually... I have them! I'll be right back!" I teleported out to the ship and came back with the box in my hands. "One problem... I don't know if we'll be able to get them on a gauntlet..."

"Why not?" Nat asked me.

"The stones came to me. When I got near to them, they floated in my hands."

I began opening the box, trying to remember the passwords.

"I honestly doubt I'll be able to give them to any of you guys..." I picked one up and walked over to Steve. I tried giving it to him, but they were stuck floating between my fingers.

"Impossible..." Nebula exclaimed. "Thanos said the one thing he was never prepared for, was the protector of the stones. Are you her?"

"I don't know... guys I'm only a teenager! I'm just a kid!"

"With powers!" Tony said from the couch.

"Yeah, but that was fate. Every Inhuman gets their powers at some point! Protecting a bunch of stones?"

"Bitch, your powers are connected to the stones!" Tony yelled again.

"Wait so... Thanos is afraid of me?"

Nebula nodded her head in agreement.

"Well then let's get this son of a bitch! I have something for him!" Tony looked over to see a golden fire in my eyes.

"Y/n!"

I looked at Tony to see him subtly nudge towards a mirror. I looked at my reflection and saw how orange my eyes were getting. Tony stood up and walked to me. "Ok... calm down. I know you're probably mad at him. I am too! But save that for him!"

"Tony, what are you talking about, she's fine!" Nat said confused. I breathed a couple of times and closed my eyes. After about three breaths, I opened my eyes again. "Is it gone?"

"Good job," Tony said patting my shoulder.

"Is what gone?" said a voice none of us recognized. We all turned to see a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"I'm sorry but who are you and how did you get in?"

"I'm Carol Danvers. Also known as Captain Marvel. Nick Fury contacted me."

"Captain Marvel... I've heard stories about you! My... Lincoln told me stories about you."

"That's very interesting, but Fury wouldn't send me here to hear that. What's going on down here?"

"Basically, there's this guy who found all infinity stones. When he got all of them, he snapped half of the world out of existence. Now we're trying to find him!" Nat said quickly.
