~Y/n's POV~

I appeared in the middle of the woods. I knew exactly why I was here. I used my powers to get out all the steam that I was hiding.

After about 15 minutes of letting out steam, I sat down against a tree to take a breath. I heard something in the bushes so stood up right away in defense mode.

"Who are you?" I asked multiple times.

"..."

"Come out with your hands in the air!"

The "something" finally came out, but it was just a middle-aged man.

"Ma'am I couldn't help but notice that... you are... incredible!"

I let my guard down and began to listen to him.

"You don't happen to be an Inhuman, are you?"

"I am actually. My powers are connected to the infinity stones."

"That's very interesting! Would you care for some water?" He asked getting a water bottle out of his backpack.

"I'm ok actually."

"Are you sure? You look awfully tired! Do you mind me asking what happened to your face?"

"Oh no, it was just a scratch. I had to get stitches after that and it just left a scar."

"Just a scratch?"

"Well! It was more like... a scalpel that cut me."

"A scalpel? How did that happen?"

"People were umm... they were trying to experiment on me."

I silently and carefully entered his mind. Inside he was thinking about... when the police would get here... I decided to play along until the last minute.

"So! What brings you to the woods?"

"Oh, you know! Just to get out some steam!"

"Oh of course! You know, I myself have a lot of steam to get out too! I usually just take a walk through the woods though!" He said with a laugh.

"Yeah. Some steam burns hotter than others!"

"..."

"So. How many more minutes till the police get here?"

"Um... I think they said another- wait... how did you-"

"How did I know you called the police? I just read your mind! No big deal, right?"

"You're insane!" He said standing up and walking away.

"That's what a lot of people say. But you wanna know what I do with people like you?"

"..."

"Don't worry. It won't hurt that much... I can guarantee you my pain was worse..." My eyes and hair turned bright orange again. I slowly closed my fist until the man was completely gone.

I heard the police sirens and teleported away.

~~~~~
I appeared right where I wanted to... the graveyard.
I kept walking until I found Tony's tombstone. I stopped when I saw it and sat down in front of it.
I sat there picking the grass until I finally figured out what to say.
"I know what you're saying. 'You need to calm down. This isn't how you should be handling this situation.' I understand why you would be saying that! But... I need to find who I really am. And this is me! What do you think?"
"..."
"I know. Killing others isn't right! But that's what they did to me. Why should people get away with that? They deserve to be punished! Who knows how many other Inhumans they've tried to get things out of! The others think I'm going insane. But... I think it's just my true colors coming out. I'm finally free Tony! I can finally live my life without having to hide from myself! It's so enlightening!"
"..."
"Why am I even talking to you? It's not like you can actually hear what I'm saying! Maybe I should go back to them. Apologize? Would they ever forgive me though?"
"..."
"Tony. I should have saved you. I served my purpose! You had a daughter at home! How could I have let you die?"
"..."
"I guess I should go back. They lost you. Nat. Me. Not that they care about me anymore. They're probably relieved I left."
"..."
"Thanks for listening anyways, Tony."
I walked away from the graveyard, towards the Avengers building. When I finally got to the front door, I froze. I couldn't move. I couldn't bring myself to face them. They could never forgive me after all I've done. I started walking back again until I saw the cherry tree. All the flowers were on the ground leaving a naked tree.
I began remembering that night Peter and I were having a date. I remembered all the good times I had with Rocket. I knew I couldn't live without any of them! I ran as fast as I could back to the building. I shoved the doors open and sprinted to the living room where everyone was.
"..."
"I-I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking! I get it if you want me to go! I get it. Kick me out! Turn me in to the insane doctors! But please! Do something!"
Peter walked over to me without a word. I prepared myself for a hit or a punch or a kick. I closed my eyes and hoped it would be over soon. But instead, I felt warmth. I felt... happy. I opened my eyes and hugged Peter back.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean the things I told you!"
We both started to cry and slowly dropped to the ground keeping the hug. The others walked over and joined in.
And from that day on, I knew I would never be alone again. I knew that no matter what I did, no matter what mistakes I made, I would always have a family! I would never have to be the spy I once was. I would never have to sneak up on someone to try and kill them. I would never have to be the crazy and insane person I once was again.
If this isn't what it feels like to be free, I don't know what is...
