Sasuke's POV
I walked back to my room. Neji was out; he must have been at soccer practice. Yes, I was in an unnaturally good mood. No, I wasn't drunk, drugged, an imposter, or an alien, but I think I just realized something.
For the past few weeks, I had been having this weird dream. I don't exactly remember the plot of it when I wake up, but I know it's the same dream each time, because I get the same feeling each time I wake up from it. Anyway, when I walked by Sakura, I suddenly remembered a moment from that dream.
A pretty girl with pink hair, sitting alone on a bench under a tree. I think I'm at school... Is she crying? Why is she crying? I go over to her. I don't like when girls cry, but I'm not quite sure why I'm walking toward her through....
Yes! That was part of my dream I kept having. It must have been Sakura. I just know it. There aren't that many girls with pink hair after all. My attitude towards her in my dream was kind of strange though. I don't usually care about how someone else feels. I'll be the first to admit that. Usually I just mind my own business.
However, for some reason seeing Sakura in the hallway, not like her usual happy self, just made me really uncomfortable, and I'm not quite sure why. I just felt like I needed to... do something about it. So, I tried to make her smile, and by doing so I let slip my biggest secret, that I actually somewhat give a shit about the events going on at this school. I mean, it's not my fault. I get bored, and I like laughing at other people's pain. So... I discovered Ino's blog and now I'm one of her most active followers, under the guise "MynameisNarutodattebayo." (I would never use my real name, I'm no idiot).
Back in my room, I plopped my baseball equipment on my bed and got into the shower. Practice was somewhat annoying today- Naruto threw a ball straight at a freshman when he wasn't paying attention. Let's just say Konohamaru was going to be out of practice for a few days. I was fine with that though. Nothing against Konohamaru, but he reminds me so much of Naruto sometimes, and we don't need two of those.
I took a quick shower, and started my math homework until Neji got back for dinner. About 15 problems later, the Hyuga walked through the door. He looked like shit.
"What happened to you?"
He groaned. "Lee." He said, wiping dirt off his brow.
I nodded. Enough said. "Ya, we have one of those too." (Thinking back to the Naruto/Konohamaru incident from earlier). "Are you ready to eat?"
"Ya. Let's go."
We walked down in relative silence. Neither of us mind it though; that's the main reason why this friendship works. We both understand each other well and we think a lot alike. We both just couldn't be bothered to care, and that's okay with us.
However, sometimes we need a bit of noise, and that's where the dobe comes in.
"Hey teme! Hyuga! Over here!"
Oh look. Right on cue.
"Hn." We both replied.
The rest of the group was already sitting down, except Shikamaru, who I assumed was sleeping through dinner again, and Hinata, who still had to stay in the nurse's office until later that night. Neji took an extra seat next to Tenten, and I sat on the other side of Naruto. Ino and Sakura were gossiping and whispering excitedly, who knows what was going on, but I figured I would end up reading about it later on the blog that I am never telling anybody that I read. Tenten started conversing excitedly with Neji about soccer and asked him how good the Suna team was. With nobody else to talk to, I turned to Naruto, who was slurping up his ramen faster than particles make sound. Ya okay he seems busy, so I just decided to mind my own damn business again.
"Oh Sasuke! I heard you're one of my loyal readers!" Ino exclaimed suddenly.
Oh god damnit....
I turned to Sakura and glared daggers at her. (Uchihas are very good at that). She gave me an apologetic look, and then giggled a little bit, so clearly she wasn't too sorry.
Ino's proclamation got the attention of the rest of the table. Naruto choked on his ramen (serves him right for eating it so fast), Neji just looked confused, and Tenten started laughing.
"Of course I'm not." I said back to Ino, with a look that I hoped was convincing enough. Basically it was just my serious face. Okay, the only face I have actually.
Ino started chuckling a bit. "Oh ok... sure....." She definitely didn't look convinced, but at least that was the end of the conversation.
Sakura was red in the face trying not to laugh. She looked admittedly kind of cute with her skin basically matching her hair. But you didn't hear that from me. I mouthed to her "you are so dead." She couldn't hold in her laughter anymore, and for some reason my threatening words triggered the onslaught of laughter that all came out in one beautiful musical tone. But you didn't hear that from me. Also, I was pretty confused as to why she found that funny. Most people would find a threat terrifying coming from me. I guess she's not scared of me, maybe I should work on my intensity. I decided to take a mental note and practice in the mirror tonight when Hyuga wasn't looking.
As these thoughts were running through my mind, Tenten announced that she was going to go give Hinata some food and help her take her stuff out of the nurse's office when she left. Neji said he would go help too. Naruto got up quickly and offered to go as well, but Neji gave him a pretty threatening look that said "I don't think so," and Naruto sat back down after that. What, how can Hyuga do it but not me? Now I really have to fix my expressions. After they left, the rest of us started to finish our meals as well and I left to go finish up my math homework (and maybe also stare intensely at the mirror idk).
