And then the next thing I knew...

y/n: "Nice going y/n... nice going"

I mentally slapped myself for choosing something so dumb.

But then again, when was I not dumb?

"Maybe if I slapped myself, then I'd be back at the bench and this would all be unreal"

I thought as I slapped my face for real even though I knew that I was being dumb.

In the end, reality was always the winner.

Old man: "Miss... are you alright?"

He was standing beside me and looked at me in a concerned way, probably thinking I was not in my right mind.

y/n: "Huh?... O-oh, I'm fine"

I replied awkwardly.

I really shouldn't have accepted the offer. Everything seemed so fishy from the moment he 'cared'. But did I really have a choice? Not really. As far as I know, I wouldn't even last a few days at a hotel, considering how much money I have. Not even a cheap one as well.

Hotels sometimes creep me out since I've had a few encounters in the past with stalkers and just really weird people. So hotels aren't so homely for me.

But I don't want to stay in this jerk-face's home either. Maybe I should just...

Old man: "Shall we go in?"

He asks as he gestures towards the entrance of Mr. Jerk's gigantic house.

"Who knows how many rooms I have to end up cleaning in this lonely and empty house of his"

I thought.

y/n: "On second thought... I don't think any of this is right, so I'm just gonna-"

I was about to turn around and walk away, but the jerk had to show up right when I was about to leave.

Mr. Jeon: "Where do you think you're going at this time?"

He spoke as he stood, leaning by the doorframe as he had his hands in his pockets.

y/n: "I'm..."

I started thinking of random things to excuse myself.

y/n: "I'm going to stay at a friend's house"

I lied to him even though my only friend's house was already full.

As I told him that, he didn't speak or move. All he did was stare into my eyes with an expression I couldn't figure out. He was probabky trying to read through me. But all he said was,

Mr. Jeon: "Alright, leave then."

He replies without a reaction as he maintains an expressionless face.

I felt relieved that he wasn't able to read through my lies.

y/n: "I'll be leaving then."

I was about to leave once again, until he ruined the moment... again.

Mr. Jeon: "You wish"

I turned around to see him smirking this time, like he has me trapped in the spot.

"The hell did I get myself into this time?"

To be continued...
