"Hey, we're about to move the last stone. Your going to want to step back." The voice from outside said. I quickly closed the box and stuffed it into my pocket before quietly shutting the container in the floor. I stood, and stepped away from the opening as it suddenly crumbled, revealing my bodyguard, Natalie, a man I did not recognize and... my father.
I took a sharp breath at the sight of my father, Gabriel Agrest, waiting for me. He looked out of place here, his white suit against the dark soil and rock. As soon as they were sure it was safe, he stepped forward and rapped me in a hug. I stood shocked for a second, startled at his embrace. Then I let myself melt a bit into it.
"We're going home now." He said, after pulling away. I frowned a bit at his tone. "I think you've seen enough action for today." I almost snorted, but remembered to compose myself in front of my father.
"Just a second sir." The man said, stepping in my father's path. "Your son has just been involved in a traumatic experience. I would like to inspect him for injury before he goes."
My father gritted his teeth and glanced at me before sighing.
"If you must." He said, eyes cold. "I'll be waiting in the automobile Adrien." He walked off, Natalie following behind him, leaving me with the man and my bodyguard.
"So, how was it inside the building?" He asked me as I was escorted to a medical vehicle. I gave him a wierd look when I sat down.
"Um, dusty?" I said as he opened a kit and pulled out equipment. "I wasn't really paying attention." It was a lie, but I didn't really know this guy enough to tell the truth.
"Oh, that's to bad." He said, placing an odd looking tool on my chest. "Ok, now breath in and out for me."
I did as I was told as the tool was shifted across my chest, then down my back. It was then removed and he scribbled something down on a pad of paper.
"Well, your lungs aren't filled with anymore dust than average," He said putting the tool away."Infact, I'd have to say the amount of dust in your lungs is under average. Have you been outside at all lately?"
Not really, I thought fiddling with the cuff of my sleeve as he pulled out a second tool that looked a bit like a hammer. He raised it to my eye and looked through one side.
"Either way," He said after a moment. "You are an extremely healthy young man." He lowered his tool and scribbled something onto a pad of paper.
"You know." The man said, putting away all his tools. "You're one of the first people to enter that building since it was closed 50 years ago."
The building was closed? Then why was the door open? Questions filled my head but I kept my mouth shut as the man finished what he was doing.
"Call me if you have any problems breathing in the next week or so." He said, ripping off part of the paper and handing it to me. "You are now free to go."
I took the paper from him and stuffed it into my jacket, before hopping down from the back of the vehicle. I walked away slowly, dreading what awaited me once I got out of the public eye.
Suddenly something smacked me on the head, causing me to stop in my tracks. I looked up, rubbing my head in pain, but saw nothing but cloudy sky. Confused, I looked around for what could have hit me, and spotted a binded pink book lying in the grass. I glanced around for my body guard, and found him watching me. I smiled at him before bending down and pretending to tie my shoe. He looked away for a second, just as I reached out and grabbed the book.
The book was pocket sized and covered in penciled designs. I flipped quickly through the pages, awed at the beautiful clothing designs inside. Each design was signed with the initials M.D.P.
"Adrien!" Natalie called to me. A quickly closed the book and slid it into another pocket, (I had six extra pockets), and stood, walking a quick pace to the car.
I climed inside, sliding into the seat next to my father. He glanced at me, obviously displeased. I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze, as the Gorrilla climbed into the driver's seat and started the automobile, the engine roaring to life. He pulled away from the walkway and started down the street to the house.

The earings were gorgeous, a constant shimmer of red and black, in the pattern found on lady bugs. They looked like something out of a fairytale.
They intrigued me, the mystery of how they were discarded in this room beneath the city. I tucked them into my purse for later, before returning to my search. The rest of the desk was covered in blueprints and sketches that correlated with the architecture of Aris. I was about to search elsewhere when it occurred to me there might be blueprints for the room.
I frivolously searched the stack of papers for one that would correlate to the room and a secret exit. I found it near the bottom of the stack, covered in dust and stained with a dark substance.
I blew it off and read through the legend for an exit. The exit was the third down and matched up with the one I had entered using. I let out an exasperated sigh, before sliding to the floor.
I was frustrated with my predicament, and needed to take a moment to calm down, before I lost myself in anger. I sat on the dusty floor and took a deep breath. I looked back to the map, searching for anything else that could hint toward an exit.
That's when I noticed one of the lamps wasn't marked on the map. I stood and walked to it, my feet clipping over the ground. I reached the wall and traced my fingers over the design, before tapping my fingers along the neck and pulling down.
My suspicions were confirmed when it clicked into a new position and the wall slid open to show a winding staircase. I peaked my head inside and marveled at the iron work, before storing the blueprints away and taking a tentative step forward.
The metal was smooth, but solid beneath my feet. I climbed the stairs slowly, my hand slowly tracing a line in the dust covering the railing.
It wasn't long before I found myself underneath a teap door, and voices drifted through the cracks. I longed to call out but knew if Lila was still nearby it would just make things worse.
I decided to push upwards in hope the trapdoor would open easily. I placed my hands against the wood, and shoved open the door. The sunlight blinded me momentarily before I climbed all the way out and close the lid.
The top of the trap door was decorated to look like the pebbles and stones that paved the walkways at first glance. If you looked closer though, you could just tell the outline of a handle. I marked the location in my mind, andhoprd I wouldn't forget, before following the sound of voices.
It turned out the voice I had heard earlier had been Lila, putting on another act. She was surrounded by my class mates and teacher, everyone wearing a face of sorrow.
"I'm so sorry." She said, sobbing fake tears into her hands. "Marinette was just so close to the edge when the quake started. It happened so fast, I didn't have time to do anything."
I scoffed at her words, drawing the attention of Alya and a few others. She blinked at the sight of me before wiping tears from her eyes.
"Marinette?" She asked. I smiled at her before she ran passed everyone else and rapped me in a hug. I hugged her back, before she pulled away and punched me in the arm. I cringed in pain.
"What was that for?" I asked, rubbing my arm.
"Don't ever do that again!" Alya said crossley. I gave her a confused look before looking past her to Lila.
"What did you tell them?" I asked angrily. Fear flickered in Lila's eyes before she put on another act.
"Marinette! You're ok!" She said wiping away her fake tears. "After you fell off the edge, everyone thought you died." Rage burned in me as I narrowed my eyes, my next words weaponized.
"Is that so?" Rage burned in me as I narrowed my eyes, my next words weaponized.
"Because I clearly remember you pushing me."
