M.P.V.
I woke in the morning, to a strong feeling of worry. I shot up in bed and looked around, sighing when I realised I was safe in my own room. Then I remembered it was a school day.
I scrambled out of bed, half climbing half falling down the latter. I landed with a thump on my hardwood floor.
"Ow!" I yelped, rubbing my back in pain. I quickly stood and rushed to my personal bathroom, grabbing a clean pair of clothes off my dresser. I closed the door behind me with a slam and rushed to get myself presentable for the day.
I slid into my loose, white, button up shirt, it's sleeves covered in the vines of pink embroidered flowers. Next I switched my trousers for some white tights and black overalls.
When I was satisfied that my outfit didn't look ridiculous, I combed my hair straight and pulled it into two quick pig tails, tying them off with pink ribbons.
I gave myself a quick check in the mirror as I scrubbed my teeth and face, before washing my hands and rushing back out.
I grabbed my bag off my chair, and stuffed in anything I would normally bring to school, before flinging open my trapdoor and rushing downstairs.
When I reached the bottom I rushed to the breakfast table and stuffed a freshly baked croissant into my mouth, flinching at the heat. My mom gave me a wierd look as I kissed her on the cheek and rushed to the door.
"Marinette!" She called after me. "Where are you going?"
"To school!" I yelled over my shoulder as I put on my boots.
"Why?" She asked, as I tied my laces. "School is closed for the week for repairs."
I froze, halfway through standing, in shock and bewilderment before my mom let out a light laugh.
"Why don't you go back to bed then." She offered, taking my bag off my shoulder and hanging it on a hook. "You don't seem quite ready to face the day."
I nodded, shaking my head to clear my thoughts, and slowly walked back up to my room. I heard my mom let out a light chuckle as I closed my trapdoor and plopped into my chaise.
I winced as I landed and pulled out the pair of goggles from yesterday. For a moment I pondered if it could have been real. Probably just a strange dream, I thought sliding them on and looking around for strange giant bugs.
When I could find none I sighed, and laid down to stare at the ceiling.
"Are you ok, Marinette?" Tikki asked.
I jumped out of my skin, when she popped into existence infront of me, causing me to fall off of my chaise. I rubbed my back again before pulling myself up.
"Yah." I sighed. "Just wishing I fully understood what was happening."
"I'm sorry I haven't been able to help much with that aspect." Tikki apologized, as she flew down to rest in front of me.
"It's ok." I said, smiling. "You helped me as much as you could."
Tikki beamed at me, as I sat there before I remembered she needed food to stay visible.
"How are you doing?" I asked, as I yawned. "Do you need any food?"
Tikki shook her head.
"No, I should be fine for a few more hours." She answered, as she stretched.
"Oh," I said, as I started to take of my boots. "Well let me know when you do need food."
"Of course." Tikki agreed. I gave her another smile before I focused on the tasks ahead.
