Chapter 1 - Give Up?

Becoming a hero was one of the things I always wanted to be when I get my own quirk! At the age of five, your quirk awakens. Hello, my name is Izuku Midoriya! I am 5 years old! My favorite hero is All Might! Also my friend Katsuki Bakugou or should I say Kacchan. Our moms are friends so naturally, we became friends. This is my story...

"DEKU!" Kacchan yells my name. We were meeting at the park. Deku is a name that Kacchan nicknamed me. We had three other people with us. Kacchan was able to read before all of us. Deku means useless. We all meet up and started to run. We all follow Kacchan since he's stronger than all of us. We were heading to school. Oh! Before I forget... Kacchan already has his quirk since he's older than most of us. His quirk is explosion. When we get there, Kacchan shows off his quirk and having everyone around him. So far, everyone has gotten a quirk but me.

After school.

I run home and go to my mom. Inko Midoriya.

"Mom! I am home!" I shout and hug her. She laughs and smiles.

"Izuku! I thought you were gonna play with katsuki today?" Mom wonders. I look at her and smiled.

"Why haven't I gotten my quirk yet?" I asked. She was surprised for a bit then sighed.

"That is strange, by now you should have mine or your fathers... I'll call a doctor and see what they say tomorrow." Mom tells me.

Next day

I sit next to mom, sitting across from the doctor. He looks at his clipboard then back at mom.

"And your quirk was again?" He wonders. My mom sightly smiles.

"I am able to pull small objects while my husband can breathe fire." Mom explains. The doctor sighs and looks at me.

"He's quirkless." Mom and I stopped and looked at the doctor. He starts to explain why then said." Give up on being a hero." I don't listen to the doctor. By the time snapped out of it, I was home watching All Might saving people with a smile. Mom cracks open the door.

"Izuku? Dinner's ready."

"Mom... Can I become a hero too?" I asked. I smiled at her with tears n my eyes. She starts to cry and runs to me. She hugs me tight.

"I'm sorry Izuku. I'm sorry!"
