We Can Never Catch A Break

Author's P.O.V

The next day when Sabrina, Dean and the boys got back to the bunker Dean noticed Sam and Avery were gone, he brushed it off for the time being until Sabrina said they needed to talk...
"Dean you can't get mad because I was only doing what I was told" Sabrina started " What?" Dean asked "Sam is in the hospital, he took a shot to his stomach saving Avery from her crazy ex husband. He's okay, the doctor just wants to keep him for a couple days to keep an eye on him" Sabrina explained "And you failed to mention this?" Dean asked, visibly getting mad "Dean, Bobby told me not to say anything because you would have wanted to leave last night but you needed to rest" Sabrina replied, trying to keep calm "I don't care! That's my brother! Next time, I don't care who told you what if it had anything to do with my brother you damn well better tell me" Dean yelled storming off towards the door "I'm sorry" Sabrina said, tears threatening to fall she flinched when the door slammed shut...

Dean's P.O.V

As I drove off to the hospital I couldn't stop thinking about how scared Sabrina looked when I had yelled, I shouldn't have acted that way. I grabbed my phone and tried to call Sabrina but she wouldn't pick up...

I got to the hospital and rushed to Sam's room "Hey something is wrong" I said going into the room "Nice to see you to Dean" Sam replied "No really. Sabrina didn't tell me about you being here until we got back to the bunker and I got mad and left I've tried calling her but she won't pick up, she never does that" I explained "I called like 12 times" I added, that got their attention "Avery go help him I'll be okay here" Sam smiled...

"Let's go back to the bunker and see if she's there, she may be taking a shower or maybe her and the boys fell asleep on the couch" Avery said as we walked to my car

We searched the bunker twice and Sabrina and the boys were gone "Her car is still here and her stuff is still here so she didn't leave willingly" Avery said, laying a map out on the table "How could you possibly know that?" I asked "If she wanted to leave you she'd let you know, your bedroom would be empty... Well your stuff would still be there but you get my point. Oh and those shirts you gave her, they'd be laying on your bed and not neatly hung up in your closet and and her rings would be on your nightstand..." Avery explained  "Need I say more?" She asked "No, I think I get the point" I replied "What are you doing?" I asked as I watched her light a candle "Tracking spell, Sam showed me" Avery replied. Avery set fire to the map "Um, How is this supposed to help?" I asked, Avery blew on the map and the fire went out, there was one part if the map that hadn't been burned "She's in Lawrence" Avery smiled "What about the boys?" I asked "They should be with her. Let's go" Avery replied...

We got in the car and I drove into town but never got on the interstate "Dean, what are you doing?" Avery asked "You need to stay with Sam" I replied "Please don't argue with me on this. I know she's your sister but we need someone with Sam because if they release him he can't drive" I said before she could say anything "Okay" Avery said quietly "Thank you" I smiled...

Avery's P.O.V

As Dean drove off I sighed and made my way back to Sam's room, as much as I wanted to sneak away and go to Lawrence I knew Dean was right, someone had to stay with Sam.

"Hey" I smiled going into the room and sitting down beside Sam "You find her?" Sam asked "We found out where she is, Dean's on his way to go get her and the boys" I replied "He wouldn't let you go?" Sam asked "No... He said that someone needed to stay with you because you can't drive if they release you before he got back" I answered "I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid and get himself killed" I sighed "It is Dean we're talking about" Sam chuckled "Not helping Sam" I said with a small smile.
There was a knock at the door and an officer came in "Miss Scott, right?" She asked "Yeah" I nodded "Officer Katelyn Roosevelt, I have a few questions for you" She smiled "Uh... Yeah sure" I smiled "I'll be right back" I said to Sam before following Officer Roosevelt  out into the hallway...

"I understand that Mr. Reynolds attacked you while you were at the carnival with Mr. Winchester last night" Officer Roosevelt stated "Yes, Ma'am" I nodded "And Sam, he uh... He tried to save you?"  She asked "Yeah, he got shot and my uncle came in at the time and shot Donavan in self defense" I explained "Uh huh and what were you doing?" She asked "I was tied to a chair" I replied "Where is you Uncle right now?". "Souix Falls, South Dakota. Drove straight through got back just in time for dinner" I answered "Why exactly is this case still open? I was told last night it was self defense and was closed" I said "I'm just making sure we didn't miss anything Dear" Officer Roosevelt smiled "Well Miss Katelyn Roosevelt-" I started "Mrs." She corrected "Whatever. Are we done?" I asked "I need to know Mr. Reynolds motivate behind his attack" Roosevelt said "About a year and a half into the marriage  I left him because he was abusive, both mentally and physically, he cheated on me with 12 different women and he was always drunk. He thought we were still together and he came after me more than once he was insane and actually I sleep a little better knowing he's dead so if you don't mind I'd like to get back to my fiancé and make sure he doesn't try to get out of bed and leave" I snapped "Thank you for your time... Oh and uh, be careful out there... Scary world we live in" Officer Roosevelt smiled before walking away...

Dean's P.O.V

I pulled up at an old abandoned asylum "Why?" I asked myself as I got out of the car. I grabbed as many weapons as I could carry and made my way in, ready to shoot at anything that moved...

Five minutes into walking through the empty halls I heard something just around the corner at the end of the hallway, I cautiously made my way towards the noise. Next thing I knew I was slammed against a wall with a sharp pain in my right side "Dean?"
