"We're suspended," I told Sirius, Remus, and Peter, as they rushed to us. I had a sad expression on my face.
"Yeah. We're going home for three days and then we're going to come back," James said playing along with my joke.
"Then why are you here then?" Sirius asked Nicolas.
"We just entered the common room at the same time," Nicolas replied shrugging. I caught James's attention and with my hands, I counted 3,2,1 and we both started laughing.
"Got you!" I said admiring the looks on their faces.
"If you didn't get suspended, then what happened? Did you get in trouble?" Remus asked, eager to know why Professor McGonagall kept us behind.
"We're on the Quidditch team!" James shouted a little too loud.
"What?" The three of them questioned us.
"They're going to be the reason we win the Quidditch Cup this year," Nicolas spoke up, grinning. "I'll hold the tryouts sometime next week, but you two have a guaranteed spot. I'll see you around,"
"So did you guys get into any trouble at all?" Peter asked us as Nicolas left.
"Not really. At first, she said she isn't happy and what we did isn't right, and then she told us we're good. And we even get to get our own brooms! I think I'll order one since I don't have one," I replied, falling into a comfy sofa.
We talked some more until it was time for dinner. I went to my dormitory and wrote a letter to Quality Quidditch Supplies ordering the newest broom, a Swiper 3000. On my way to dinner I went to the Owlery and to my owl, Avery, and gave her the letter to send to the shop. At dinner, I sat in between two friend groups. To my right Sirius, Remus, James, and Peter, and to my left Lily, Marlene, and Mary. At first me, Lily and Marlene talked about our classes.
"Guys, not everyone knows yet, so don't tell anyone. James and I are on the Quidditch team!" I said excitedly.
"No way! Normally there aren't any first years on the Quidditch teams," Marlene informed us.
"Quidditch team? Look's like she'll be joining us, Arsenius," Derek appeared out of nowhere, and sat beside me, with Arsenius in front of us.
"You're in the Quidditch team?" I asked them.
"Nah. Not yet at least. Last year we were in our first year, but we want to try out this year," Arsenius answered.
After dinner, we went up to the common room. I played a few games of chess, and then I was sleepy so I slept early.
Because I slept early, I woke up in the middle of the night. I decided to look through my potions book, so I took it out of my trunk. I didn't want to open the lights while the others were asleep, so I wore slippers and a nightgown on top of my pajamas and I quietly went to the common room. I was going to a sofa that I liked when I noticed someone was already there. I noticed the shoulder-length wavy black hair. Sirius.
