Lauren walks into her house with a smile on her face thinking about what has happened since she walked into the multipurpose room. "What's got you all smiley" Destiny, Lauren's younger sister asks raising an eyebrow. "Nothing" Lauren says quickly. "Mhm sure..." Destiny says eyeing her sister not believing her for a second. "I'll be in my room doing homework if anyone needs me" Lauren says. Lauren walks into her room closing the door and collapsing face first on her bed.
She checks her phone and doesn't see any from a number she doesn't recognize. Lauren sighs and runs her hand through her hair before grabbing her backpack and pulling out the homework she has to complete. Lauren ends up not completely very much homework because she keeps checking her phone every five or so minutes to see if Tyler texted. After almost an hour she gives up and decides to take a shower to help get her mind off of Tyler not texting her.
An hour later after a nice relaxing shower, Lauren walks back into her room to try and finish her homework when she hears her phone ding. She checks it and sees a text from a number she doesn't recognize. 'Hey sorry I didn't text sooner, I didn't know how far away you live and didn't want to text you while you were driving. Then it kinda just slipped my mind. Oh this is Tyler...probably should have started with that.'
A huge smile appears on Lauren's face as she giggles. Tyler is just too cute Lauren can't help but thinks as she goes to reply. Right then her door is slammed open as Destiny and Alaska, Lauren's older sister come barging in. "See what I mean Alaska" Destiny says, "You can't just tell me it's nothing." "It is nothing" Lauren says, "Now both of you get out of my room." "You are right Destiny" Alaska says, "So what's his name?" "Or her name" Destiny mumbles.
"Did you say something" Alaska asks. "Nope" Destiny says, "Well..." "You two are so nosey" Lauren says. "Its kinda in our job description" Alaska says, "Now tell us about the guy that's got you smiling like an idiot." "Or girl" Destiny mumbles. "It was one of my friends" Lauren says, "They sent me a really funny text." Destiny and Alaska look at each other then look back at Lauren. "Ok" Destiny says, "We will just go then."
Destiny and Alaska get up and turn to leave when Alaska says, "Now." Destiny jumps on Lauren pinning her down on her bed and Alaska grabs her phone out of her hand. "What the hell, get off me" Lauren says in frustration trying to push Destiny off of her, "And give me back my phone you asshole." "Oooo" Alaska says looking at Lauren and wiggling her eyebrows, "Whose Tyler?" "No one" Lauren says. "What's it say" Destiny asks. "Don't you dare" Lauren says.
"Hey sorry I didn't text sooner, I didn't know how far away you live and didn't want to text you while you were driving. Then it kinda just slipped my mind. Oh this is Tyler...probably should have started with that" Alaska says. "Aw, that's so cute" Destiny says. Lauren just groans and stops trying to push Destiny off of her. "Well is he cute" Alaska asks. "Ugh fine" Lauren says, "Just get off me and give me back my phone."
Destiny and Alaska smile at each other. Destiny gets off of Lauren and Alaska gives Lauren back her phone. They make themselves comfortable before motioning Lauren to start. "I think sh-Tyler's cute. Brown hair, blue eyes. A few inches taller than me" Lauren says, "And we just met today. And from the few hours we talked I think Tyler's funny, kind, a good listener, and like I said earlier cute." "I can't wait to meet him" Alaska says. "Yeah..." Lauren says.
"Well I'll see you two losers later, I have the morning shift" Alaska says standing up and pretending to shoot herself, "Good night." Alaska walks out and Destiny says, "I'm assuming from the conversation and what you told me Tyler's a girl." "Yeah..." Lauren says, "Tyler's a girl." "I support you" Destiny says hugging Lauren, "And if you like her, I say go for it. Take it one day at a time." Lauren smiles and hugs Destiny back, "Thanks Destiny, I really appreciate it." "No problem" Destiny says, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have some homework I have to finish."
