Chapter 12

The next day at school Lauren, Destiny, Tyler as Harley, and Alister as Tyler are sitting in the side of the football field under a tree just hanging out. "Oh because of what happened last night I never got to ask" Lauren says sitting in between Tyler's legs leaning back into Tyler, "How was the date?" "I'm officially off the market" Alister says smiling while draping his arm over Destiny's shoulder. "And he better remember that" Destiny says giving Alister a look before leaning into his side. Tyler smiles and flashes a thumbs up while Lauren says, "What happened to never going to happen?" "Shut it Lauren" Destiny says.

"Seriously though" Tyler says, "Congrates you two, I'm happy for you." "And thanks man" Alister says, "For convincing this one to go on a date with me." "So anything new with you two" Destiny asks. "Well..." Tyler says rubbing the back of her neck, "One big thing and two major things." "Don't leave us hanging" Alister says, "Tell us." "Well I got a call from this business guy a week ago saying that he wanted to sign me to his record label that he is in the middle of making in honor of me" Tyler says, "Then once I sign he wanted to help me produce my first album and set up my first tour." "Is that a good or bad thing" Alister asks, "I'm not sure how to react cuz you don't seem happy about it."

"Well, I just needed to write and record a few more songs" Tyler says, "Then I would self release my first album. As for a tour, I honestly really didn't want to do one, I mean I would only have one album out and a few singles and I also don't particular like traveling. I mean I might have done one like down the road but like way down the road to celebrate a huge milestone or something like that." "So, what happened then" Destiny asks. "And why didn't you tell me Lauren asks. "Because I told him no, it didn't seem like a big deal" Tyler says, "But then that asshole used his power and money to get what he wanted."

"The company that I was using to release my first album and some other official band things, he bought after I signed a contract to stay with them until I was eighteen" Tyler says, "So now he owns me until I'm eighteen. The worst part is that I basically have no say in any matter. So now he essentially has complete control over the albums and songs I release, who I feature on a song, and when and how many tours I go on." "What an asshole" Destiny says. "Because its his way or the highway, so right after I release my first album, I have to go on tour" Tyler says. "How long will you be gone" Lauren asks. "Basically the rest of sophomore year" Tyler says, "And the worst part is I can't even bring you guys."

"Oh..." Lauren says sadly. "Yeah..." Tyler says sadly. It's quiet for several seconds before Destiny asks the question that the three of them are wondering, "So, when are you leaving for the tour?" "My manager wants me to leave as soon as possible" Tyler says, "And is pressuring me to finish my album within the next several days." "He's a dick" Alister says. "Tell me about it" Tyler says, "And then he's going to be announcing the tour sometime today or tomorrow, its his way of warning me to finish the album soon." "I'm going to miss you" Lauren says. "I'm going to miss you too" Tyler says, "Lets just make the most of the few days I have left before I leave for tour."

Tyler's manager drops the news of the HD tour later that day and tickets sell out everywhere within a matter of hours. Tyler prolongs writing the album for as long as possible but can only draw it out for five days. When Tyler wasn't busy with writing and producing Dreams Into Reality, Tyler was at school, hanging out with Alister, Destiny, and Lauren, or just spending time with Lauren. Eventually Tyler couldn't push off the inevitable, and it was the first day of the HD tour. While Tyler's manager is handling last minute business and security is loading everything onto the tour buses Tyler is saying goodbye to Lauren, Alister, and Destiny.

"Five minutes Harley" a security guard says. "Ok" Tyler says, "Well I guess this is it til my tour ends." "Have fun and don't do anything stupid" Destiny says hugging Tyler. "Will do my best" Tyler says hugging Destiny back. Alister walks over once they separate. "See you around man" Alister says. "Can you keep an eye on Lauren while I'm tour" Tyler asks. "Of course man" Alister says, "Anything for my best friend." "Thanks man" Tyler says as they bro hug. Lauren then walks over and hugs Tyler trying not to cry. "Let's give them a minute" Alister says, "Later man." They walk to the other side of the bus to give Lauren and Tyler some privacy.

"I'm gonna miss you" Lauren says. "I'm gonna miss you too" Tyler says, "So much." "Call and text me every day" Lauren says. "Was already planning on doing that" Tyler says. "You better not get comfy with any girl while you're on tour, you hear me Tyler" Lauren says. "You're the only girl I want, I mean I did this all for you" Tyler says, "And I want you in my life for as long as you'll have me." "Its time" a security guard says. "I'll see you as soon as the tour ends" Tyler says. "Good" Lauren says. "I'm falling hard for you Lauren Carr" Tyler says. "I'm falling hard for you too Tyler Echo" Lauren says. Tyler hands Lauren a wrapped box, "A little something to remember me by. Open it after I leave."

Lauren and Tyler kiss one more time before Tyler gets on her tour bus. Alister, Destiny, and Lauren wave to Tyler and Tyler waves back as they drive off to the first stop. Once they can't see the tour buses anymore, Lauren opens the box that Tyler gave her see it's a necklace of a guitar with a star on it. The tears escape Lauren's eyes. "Aww" Destiny gushes, "That's so sweet." "Here" Alister says, "Let me put it on for you." Lauren hands Alister the necklace and he puts it on Lauren. "It looks good on you" Destiny says. "It's beautiful" Lauren says admiring the necklace.

"And its perfect because mom and dad will think Harley gave it to you and you won't have to take it off" Destiny says smiling. "I know" Lauren says smiling. "Quit genius if you think about it" Alister says, "You two want to grab something to eat, I'm starving." "Of course you are" Destiny says rolling her eyes, "Let's go." Lauren then notices something on the star. She takes a closer look and sees that it is the letter T. Lauren smiles as a few tears escape her eyes, "You sure are a genius Ty. Come back soon."
