Harley pulls into Lockwell's parking lot fifteen minutes early, hoping to catch Lauren before school starts and talk to her. Harley walks into school smiling looking around for Lauren and is suddenly ambushed by a mob of mainly girls. "What the" Harley exclaims taken by surprise trying to figure what the hell is happening. "Can I have your autograph" a girl asks holding out a notebook and pen. "What" Harley says completely confused. "Party at my place tomorrow" a jock says. "Um..." Harley says as people keep bombarding trying to get Harley's attention.
"Move aside" Callie says. "Get the hell out of my way" Kitty says. Callie and Kitty clear a small path for Lauren. Lauren grabs Harley's arm and walks off with Callie and Kitty close behind. Lauren walks to a secluded hallway and stops. "Thanks" Harley says smiling, "I was actually looking for you when I got ambushed." "You were looking for me" Lauren asks. "Uh yeah..." Harley says, "I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Not to break up whatever this is" Kitty says, "But do you have any idea why you were as you put it "ambushed" as soon as you entered school?" "No" Harley says, "Uh should I..." "Are you serious" Kitty asks, "Its all anyone can talk about." "Seriously" Harley says, "Now will someone tell me, or can I get back to what I wanted to talk o Lauren about?" Lauren pulls out her phone and clicks on something, handing her phone to Harley.
Harley's eyes widen at what is currently displayed on Lauren's screen. "What the hell" Harley whispers, "No way..." Harley looks up at them. "Believe it" Callie says, "You're the first ever over night sensation." "Holy shit" Harley says smiling. "Congrats Harley" Kitty says. "I did it" Harley whispers, "I can't believe that worked." "What did you say" Callie asks. "Nothing" Harley says, "Hey Lauren, since your dream is to be a musician and I'm kinda the talk of the school-" "Try more like the world" Kitty says. They give her a look and she shrugs.
"What" Kitty says, "I was just stating facts." "Anyways" Harley says, "We should sing a song together, it will get your name out there." "Definitely" Lauren says smiling. "Come one super star" Callie says, "You still have to go to your classes." No matter where Harley goes, the girls are fan girling over how hot and attractive Harley is and the videos of Harley from glee club yesterday that the girls recorded and posted online. The guys talk to Harley because Harley has skyrocketed in popularity overnight.
It is now lunch time and all Harley wants is a nice quiet and peaceful lunch with Lauren, Callie, and Kitty. They walk into the cafeteria looking for a table. The jocks, cheerleaders, and the other popular kids wave them over. Kitty motions towards an empty table and they start to walk over. They get stopped by Mr. Jones. "Sorry to disturb you guys during lunch" Mr. Jones says, "But I wanted to congratulate Harley." "Thanks" Harley says smiling.
"I never thought I would ever see the day that music could be a possible career" Mr. Jones says, "You made history yesterday, don't squander your one shot." "Not planning on it" Harley says looking at Lauren. "Well enjoy your lunch" Mr. Jones says. Just then Xavier walks up, "You're just a wannabe and you were a little flat." "How would you know" Harley asks, "Considering that was my song, I think I know what notes I'm supposed to hit." "Yesterday was just a fluke" Xavier says. "Ok" Harley says, "Whatever you say Xavier."
"You just got lucky yesterday" Xavier says, "Everyone knows I'm better." "Is that so" Harley says, "Then how come I'm the overnight sensation and you're just a nobody?" Xavier is pissed and goes to punch Harley but stop himself before he does. Xavier takes a deep breath and says, "Lets settle this once and for all then. Right here, right now." "Ok" Harley says. "Pay attention" Xavier says and points at the music kids.
Xavier is in the middle of the cafeteria with an arm wrapped around Lauren's waist breathing heavily from singing and dancing. Xavier is looking Lauren in the eyes smiling. Lauren gets out of Xavier's grip looking unimpressed. Xavier looks upset about that but covers it up quickly with a smile. Xavier's friends start to clap and the rest of the cafeteria joins in, most of them looking unimpressed also. Xavier walks over to Harley and bumps into Harley's shoulder aggressively as he walks past, "And that's how it's done."
Harley just raises an eyebrow at Xavier who is standing there smirking before getting a few pieces of paper and handing the papers to Callie. "Give these to the music kids would you" Harley says. Callie does as she is told. Harley hands Lauren a paper. "I dare you to top that wannabe" Xavier says. Harley just smiles and does a one eighty as a bunch of girls pull out their phones.
Harley is standing in front of Xavier and asks, "Well..." The entire cafeteria starts clapping and cheering. "This isn't over" Xavier says glaring at Harley before storming off. Harley looks over at Lauren who is already looking at Harley with the biggest smile on her face. Harley smiles back. Harley starts to walk over to Lauren when Alister walks up and starts a conversation. They walk out of the cafeteria talking, not before Harley turns around and winks at Lauren. "That was amazing" Callie says. "I think your dream is about to come true" Kitty says. They see Destiny walk over.
"Ok" Destiny says sitting down, "What's going on?" "What do you mean" Lauren asks. "Don't play dumb Lauren" Destiny says, "You and Harley." "Nothing" Lauren says, "We are just friends if that's what your referring to." "Are you sure" Destiny asks, "Because from what I saw from the video yesterday and that little performance today, Harley has a thing for you." "No, he doesn't" Lauren says. "He totally does" Callie says. "And you totally have a thing for him" Kitty says, "Don't even try to deny it."
Lauren sighs and says, "Ok fine...I do. But for all we know he's just being friendly." "You have to be blind not to see the way he looks at you" Kitty says. "I haven't hung out with you when Harley's has been around" Destiny says, "But I can tell just from the performance that happened minutes ago that he likes you." "Great" Lauren says groaning, "Everything's so complicated." "How so" Callie asks. "I like both Harley and Tyler" Lauren says, "I know Harley definitely likes me, and I think Tyler might like me too."
"First things first" Callie says, "You need to figure out if Tyler even likes you and then go from there." "Your right" Lauren says. "Now let's get some lunch" Kitty says, "I'm starving." The rest of the day passes by in the blink of an eye. Lauren is walking towards her car to go drop off the work Tyler has missed. "Hey Lauren" Xavier says jogging up to her. "Can I help you" Lauren asks. "I was wondering if you want to grab a coffee or go watch a movie" Xavier says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Sorry I can't" Lauren says, "I promised a friend I would help the with their homework." "Ok, raincheck then" Xavier asks. "I have to go" Lauren says walking to her car. She sees Harley leaning against her car. Harley looks up and smiles. Lauren smiles back. "I didn't get to tell you this earlier" Harley says, "But you were amazing...you have an amazing voice." "Thanks" Lauren says. "Hey um...do you maybe want to go...uh" Harley says nervously, "You want to go on a date...with me?"
Lauren opens and closes her mouth in shock. Harley just stands there nervously waiting for an answer. "Look" Lauren says, "I like you Harley..." "But..." Harley says. "I can't" Lauren says. "Oh..." Harley says, "I should have known you had a boyfriend. A girl as amazing and beautiful as you wouldn't be single." "Its not that" Lauren says. "Then" Harley says, "If you don't mind me asking." "I also like this other person" Lauren says, "I just need sometime to figure things out."
"Is it Xavier" Harley asks. "No god no" Lauren says, "Its this gu-...their names Tyler. We met a few days ago but we just click." "Well this Tyler guy must be something special to have caught your eye" Harley says, "I can't wait to meet him." "I'm sure you guys would become best of friends" Lauren says, "I actually have to go and drop of some work." "Yeah no go" Harley says, "I'll see you Monday." "See you Monday superstar" Lauren says. Harley smiles and walks off. Lauren gets into her car and drives to Tyler's house preparing herself for the talk that she has no idea which way it will go that needs to happen.
