Chapter 8

The next morning Lauren, Destiny, and Alaska are eating breakfast together. "I'm going to tell Harley and Tyler today" Lauren says. "Good luck" Alaska says, "Tell me how it goes. I need to get going." Alaska grabs her purse and walks out of the house. "If you need me send one of your annoying friends to get me or just text me" Destiny says. "Will do" Lauren says, "Kitty and Callie aren't that annoying." "Yes they are" Destiny says. "Whatever" Lauren says, "We should get going." "Someone's eager to see their girlfriend" Destiny says smirking. "Tyler's not my girlfriend" Lauren says, "...Yet."

"Let's go so that you can see your girlfriend before you die from not seeing her in like twenty-four hours" destiny says. "Its actually been about sixteen hours since I've last seen Tyler" Lauren says. "Whatever" Destiny says, "Same difference." Lauren just rolls her eyes and grabs her backpack. She walks to her car followed shortly by Destiny. Fifteen minutes later she is parking in Lockwell's parking lot. "Go get your girl" Destiny flashing a smile giving her two thumbs up. Destiny climbs out of Lauren's car and heads to her locker.

Lauren's sits in her car for a few minutes, breathing in and out trying to calm her racing heart and gather the courage to tell Harley her biggest secret and to confess her true feelings to the girl that stole her heart without even trying. With five minutes remaining before the bell rings, Lauren exits her car and walks to her locker. She is greeted by Callie and Kitty. "Hey" Lauren says as she grabs the books she needs out of her locker, "Have either of you seen Harley or Tyler?" "No I haven't seen that handsome boyfriend of yours or your new friend yet" Kitty says reading something on her phone.

"I'm sure they are just running late" Callie says. Callie, Kitty, and Lauren walk into their first period class right before the bell rings. Soon first period turns into second period. Second period turns into third period and so on. The bell has just rang for lunch and there has been no sign of either Harley or Tyler. "Where are they" Lauren asks as they walk to the cafeteria. "I'm sure there's a good reason why" Callie says. "Neither of them have even texted me" Lauren says. "Some boyfriend Harley is" Kitty says, "And some friend Tyler is." "There's a logical explanation for this" Callie says glaring at Kitty, "You know they wouldn't do this on purpose."

"Yeah..." Lauren says gloomily and sighs. They get their lunch and sit down at the first open table they see. Destiny soon walks over. "Well..." Destiny says, "Did you tell them yet?" "Tell us what" Callie asks. "Ugh" Kitty says, "It's your annoying sister." "Not you two, Harley and Tyler" Destiny says, "You're the annoying on." "No not yet" Lauren says, "They didn't come to school today. They also haven't texted or replied to my text." Just then Lauren phone dings and its Harley. "Well speak of the devil" Kitty says. "Harley wants me to meet him out on the football field" Lauren says.

"I wonder what he wants" Callie says. "Only one way to find out" Lauren says grabbing her backpack and walking towards the football field. Kitty, Callie, and Destiny quickly grab their things and follow Lauren to the football field. They walk onto the field and see Harley standing in the center. Lauren hands Callie her backpack and walks over to Harley. "Hey" Harley says smiling. "Don't hey me" Lauren says, "First you don't come to school and then you don't even bother to text me that you're not coming or even reply to me." "Uh...s-sorry Lolo" Harley says, "I didn't mean to make you worry or upset you. I actually brought you out here because I have two surprises for you."

Harley hands Lauren some sheet music. "What's this" Lauren asks. "Well I was being serious when I said that we should sing a duet together" Harley says, "I was up all night writing and composing this song and woke up late." Lauren quickly reads the lyrics. "Well what are you waiting for" Lauren asks smiling, "Start the music." "Yes ma'am" Harley says smiling giving a thumbs up. Music begins to play from the speakers.

When the song finishes, the bleachers are completely full of students that are cheering and clapping. "That was amazing" Lauren says smiling. "Your amazing" Harley says smiling, "We should make a music video for it." "Are you serious" Lauren asks. "Deadly" Harley says, "I want that to be the first music video I release. And that song is definitely going on my first album." Lauren smiles and hugs Harley, "So after you give me my second surprise I need to tell you something." "Ok" Harley says and gives another thumbs up as music begins to play from the speakers again.

Everyone is once again clapping and cheering. Lauren gives Harley a confused look. "I wrote that song during the few weeks you were deciding who you wanted to date" Harley says, "And I thought I shouldn't let a good song go to waste." Lauren just nods, "If you say so." "So, what did you want to tell me" Harley asks as the bell rings. "I'll tell you after school" Lauren says, "Hey, have you by chance seen Tyler?" "No I haven't" Harley says, "Come on, I'll walk you to class." Harley grabs Lauren's hand and they walk to class hand in hand. As they walk by Destiny, Callie, and Kitty, Destiny raises her eyebrow and Lauren shakes her head no.

Too soon for Lauren's liking, the final bell of the day rings. Lauren walks to her locker doing her best to calm her nerves before she has to tell Harley the truth. "You ok" Callie asks. "I'm fine" Lauren says. "Are you sure" Kitty asks, "You look kinda nerves." "I'm fine guys" Lauren says. "Ok" Callie says, "If you say so." "Hey" Harley says. "I'll see you two later" Lauren says grabbing Harley's hand. Lauren leads Harley to a secluded area of the school. "So, what did you need to tell me" Harley asks. "I...it's just...your" Lauren says. "Hey hey" Harley says grabbing Lauren's hands, "Calm down. You can tell me anything and I will always be there for you."

Lauren takes a deep breath before saying, "I like you Harley, but I like Tyler more." "What" Harley says taken by surprise. "I like Tyler and I'm sorry for leading you on" Lauren says, "I can't help how I feel." "You...you like...Tyler" Harley asks. "Yes" Lauren says. "Woah..." Harley says letting go of Lauren's hands, "Holy shit." "Harley..." Lauren says. "I'm not mad Lauren" Harley says smiling, "The heart wants what it wants." Lauren smiles and hugs Harley and Harley hugs her back. "Thank you" Lauren says. "I just want you to be happy Lolo" Harley says, "Even if it isn't with me, I'll still always be there for you."

"Not complaining or anything" Lauren says, "But you are taking this very well." "I fell for you the first time I saw and I would have done anything for you" Harley says, "I just want you to be happy and Tyler makes you happy." Lauren has a shocked expression on her face, then it transforms into a smile and she says, "You are such a sap..." Lauren connecting their lips in a passionate kiss and Harley instantly kisses her back with as much eagerness. Lauren pulls away after a several seconds and whispers, "Tyler."

Lauren pulls the blonde wig off of Harley's head to reveal Tyler standing there smiling sheepishly. "Hey you" Tyler says. "I can't believe you did all of that just to make my dream a possibility" Lauren says. Tyler just shrugs her shoulders and says, "Like I said earlier, I would do anything for you." "Just one question" Lauren says, "How?" "Knowledge, bribery, and a lot of luck" Tyler says, "So operation Harley Davidson as I called it, started after the first time we talked and hung out."
