Day One
Pat's POV
I heard the fire crackle, while my friends gather around the campfire and dance joyously without music. Kahit pala walang tugtog mapapasayaw pa rin pala 'tong mga kasama ko. I smiled widely as I watched them enjoying theirselves, this is the best day of this week, no worries, far from the city, and of course, the most fun part hanging with my friends. I felt secure knowing that I'm surrounded by the people I trusted.
I was about to stand up when I noticed Quincy and Roy at the spot where the light of the fire won't reach them. Nilapitan ko sila and at tumayo sa harapan nila.
"Hmmmmm..." ungol ni Quincy. She was on top of Roy, habang ang braso niya ay nakapulupot sa leeg ni Roy. Well Roy, was holding one hand on the beer can, and the other hand a cigar. I find it silly, like hell, Quincy is supporting herself. At may ungol pang nalalaman, when in fact Roy's hand never touched her.
I was just standing, hoping they would notice me, pero the hell, they just continued their make-out session. Kaya instead of just watch, I interrupted them.
"Hey! The night is still young for you two to make out." naiinis kong sabi. Bigla namang napatayo si Roy, kaya nahulog si Quincy na nasa lap niya at bumgsak sa lupa.
While Roy is looking at me, I can see smudges of lipstick on his face. He looked down at tinapon 'yung sigarilyo niya at tinapakan. As he raised his head again, I glared at him and immediately see the nervousness on his face.
"Ow!" sabi ni Quincy, while attempting to stand up. Pero ang p*nyeta nag-iinarte.
Akmang tutulungan na siya ni Roy pero pinigilan ko.
"Pwede ba?! You can stand on your own." dali-dali naman siyang tumayo at tumakbo palayo sa amin.
Nang maiwan na kaming dalawa ni Roy dito, nakapameywang ko siyang tinignan.
"I didn't bring you here para makipaglandian...And did you just smoke?" bigla namang bumilog ang mata niya.
"Ate Pat, I swear that's not mine." sabi niya habang hinahawakan ang kamay ko at nagmamakaawa. Kinuha ko ang kamay ko at tinalikuran siya.
"At bakit mo dinala 'yung Quincy na 'yun?" dali-dali siyang pumunta sa harap ko and explained.
"Ate, she insisted. Hindi naman ako makahindi sa gusto niya." tumawa ako sa naging sagot.
"At nakipaglandian ka pa ah?"
"Sorry ate."
Tinignan ko siya ng seryoso.
"I'll forgive you this time, basta 'wag mo na 'yung gagawin...And the smoke? You sure it's not yours?"
"Promise ate 'di ko na uulitin. At kay...Quincy yung smoke, I was just holding it." I was about to react to what he says nang biglang may humawak sa balikat ko. Bigla namang tumaas ang presyon ko at patakbong lumapit kay Roy. Yinakap ako ni Roy in an attempt to protect me.
"Ano'ng meron ate?" tanong ni Roy. Hindi kasi niya makita ang nasa likuran ko since it's too dark here.
Bigla namang may lumabas na tao sa kadiliman at nginitian kami.
