Chapter 3 - Suprise guest

Nurse P.O.V

I ran around the side of the ambulance and jumped into the passenger seat before slamming the door. "Damn! That woman's got some pretty bad injuries! We need to get to the hospital asap!"
"Roger that" The annoying but skilled ambulance driver Auro said, winking and revving the engine. I rolled my eyes and looked out of the side window as he sped down the road. Suddenly I heard talking from the back, it's kinda rude but I listened in to their conversation. The blonde woman who I took the small child from was asking the raven haired man if the child was his son. I chuckled at the shock in the man's voice, and from then on I just zoned out whilst Auro was trying to chat me up looking at the pretty scenery holding it's welcoming arms out to me, and I gladly took them.

Levi P.O.V

The ambulance jolted to a stop and I was abruptly awakened from my slumber. I groaned as I stood up, forgetting the small child was still clinging onto me. He started falling off me as his grip loosened and I snapped out of my daze, quickly catching him. "Shit, that was close.." I sighed. Wait a second. Why was my heart pounding just then? Was I scared that he would get hurt? No... Any adult would feel responsible for a small child falling off them.. I think. I shook my head and gently slung him over my shoulder, my arm under his butt. 'Brat you better not dribble all over me' The nurse opened the back door and I stepped out. Then the ambulance driver came round the back as well to help the nurse wheel the kid's mum into the hospital. As we were speed walking towards the entrance, I looked over to the driver and saw that he was staring, at the nurse's chest. I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh before saying,
"Women don't appreciate being stared at by annoying and perverted men lime you, you know." The driver went deep red and looked away, clearing his throat. The nurse also went red and thanked me in a quite voice. I tutted and walked in front of them into the reception.

Nurse P.O.V

'Oh my god! He was starring at my boobs!! I can't believe that idiot. I'm just glad that raven haired man noticed and had a go at him..' I pulled the bed quickly into the hospital and beckoned for the man holding the child to follow me into the emergency room. I parked the bed in place and hooked the woman up once again, giving her some painkillers and a new bandage. I also checked the child for any injuries but he seemed fine. There was no visible injuries, he was all good to go. But... He had no-one to go with..

"Uhm, sir?" I tapped the raven haired man on the shoulder and he turned round.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Would you be able to uhm, you know, take the child to your home for the time being? I mean, you seem like a fairly suitable guardian, and with his mother in this state.. She is hardly ready to go home." I saw the man raise his eyebrows and he looked a bit pissed. "I- Um, I mean you don't have too.. But there is no one else.." The raven huffed.
"Fine whatever, any forms I have to sign or anything?" I ran out of the door quickly and grabbed some health forms off the receptionist. I jogged back into the room and handed him the forms and a pen.
"Ok, sign here-" I pointed to the bottom of the sheet, "And here." I said, flipping the page and pointing to the bottom.
"Ok. Anything else?" He handed me the forms and the pen.
"That's all, it should only be for a couple of weeks, just until his mother's condition improves. We'll have an inspector come round once a week to see how you are doing."
"Uh, ok" He nodded, looking over to the sleeping child. I opened the door of the emergency room for him and waited for him to pick the child up.

We both walked out of the emergency room and I walked him to the front door.
"Look after him, ok?" I smiled.
"Yeah yeah I know."
"Ok bye!"
"Bye."
-1 hour later-

Levi P.O.V

I awkwardly unlocked the door with my mouth, (I have had a lot of practice) and opened it with my foot. I went in and wiped my feet on the mat, kicked my shoes off, and closed the door with my hip. I walked through my spotless hallway and into my room, setting the child on my bed. 'Why did I get myself into this, what am I thinking.' I smacked the palm of my hand into my forehead. 'Stupid, stupid, stupid! I guess I'll to deal with it for now.. But first I have to wash this blood off my arms before the kid wakes up.' I walked out of my room and into the bathroom.

Eren P.O.V

A bright light shone in my face, and my eyes slowly opened. I felt so groggy.. 'Hold on. Where am I?? What happened?? Oh.. Yeah, my mum. But where is she? Is she ok? I have to go back to her! But first I need to find someone to ask where I am..' I swung my small legs around the side of the bed and jumped off. My feet landed with a soft pad on the smooth carpet. 'Eh? Someone took my shoes off?' I walked over to the door and opened it, peering out. I heard the sound of running water from the opposite room. 'Someone's here!' I crept up to the room and peered through the door.

On the other side there was a man with Raven coloured hair. Levi... He was washing his arms in the sink, and the water was stained red. 'Is he washing blood of his arms? Why where his arms covered in blood in the first place? Oh no.. Oh god no.. He would never do that! Not Levi!' I let out a small gasp and covered my mouth with my hand. Levi span around with a shocked look.
"It's not what he looks like I swear!!" He shouted desperately.
"No, nonono!" I whispered shaking my head, tears gathering in my green eyes. I span around and ran.
"Hey, kid, wait!" He shouted after me. I kept running and opened a random door, hiding inside what I assumed was a downstairs cupboard. I covered my mouth with both hands, letting silent tears run over them. 'He couldn't possibly.. Hurt my mum!'
