Chapter 4

A few years later...

Hello, my name is Sierra. Right now I am 16 years old. When I was young my mom disappeared and I was given the power to transform into a raven, wolf, and mermaid. It's been rough but I finally got the hang of my new power and I'm officially a pro. Now I'm living with my friend Claudia and her mate Tod. She and Tod met last summer and usually they go out together and leave me behind to watch the den but I don't mind.  As long as she's happy then I'm happy! Me and Claudia decided to tell Tod about my ability and he was shocked at first but he was cool about it afterwords. Me and him became best friends over time. Whenever Claudia isn't home, me and Tod go swimming in the lake. I'm a lot bigger now. Heck I'm a full grown wolf! So whenever we go swimming in the lake I can easily touch the bottom. At first me and Tod were enemies but now we are always hanging out together. Life sure is great!

Few hours later

"Sierra! Me and Tod are back from hunting!" I heard Claudia yell happily as she carried in a huge salmon.

"We found a boat that had no humans in it and stole it from their nets!" Tod said happily

I quickly asked "Are you sure their weren't any humans around? It seems very unusual and too good to be true."

"Well" I heard Claudia speak up. "We might have ran into a couple humans. But it was no big deal! We quickly ran! The only thing they did was throw these weird red beeping things at us" she said while her and Tod lifted their paws revealing the little beeping devices.

Then I remembered. That device looks familiar. I recalled my mother's words as we swam away from humans who launched weird red devices at us. Omg it can't be! "Tod! Claudia! Take those devices off at once!

"Why? What is it?" I heard Claudia say"

Tod spoke up "what's going on"

I perked up my ears as I heard footsteps outside the den. OH NO! Too late! Humans surrounded the entrance to the den. "Sierra use your sonic scream!" I heard Claudia say.

"Ok. Tod! Claudia! Stand behind me!" They both jumped behind me. I was about to my sonic scream until I felt a pain in my leg and realized a strange, pointy object was stuck to my leg. I quickly pulled it out and fell to the ground. My vision was beginning to go blurry. I saw Tod and Claudia getting murdered by humans right in front of my eyes but I couldn't do anything.

I let out a painful howl. As my I saw my friends laying lifelessly on the ground with blood coming out of their bodies. I heard a human say "should we kill they wolf to?" I thought to myself, yes! Please kill me! My friends and my mother was already murdered by you people! I can't suffer anymore! Another human spoke up. I think he's the boss. "No take the wolf with us. I have some clients who would love to get their hands on a beauty like her! They have been asking me to bring them a rare animal so they can have it as their pet" I scowled at the thought. Me becoming a pet? No way! Then I blacked out.
