The Tribrid

Chapter 7

One week later... 

A week has past and so far I'm still in my cage. The only time I was allowed to leave was if I had to use the bathroom. So far the only time those 4 boys visit me is if I call them because I have to use the bathroom or if they arrive to bring me dinner. I refused to eat anything they gave me. When they gave me dinner they placed it inside my pet bowl like I'm some kind of animal so I absolutely decided not to eat it. Most of the time I just laid on the stone cold floor silently crying my eyes out. I can't take this anymore I must find a way to escape!

"Umm who are you?" I heard a strange voice call. I turned to see a beautiful girl outside my cage. She looked about my age with blond, curly hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a tank top that was really revealing and shorts that were way too thin. "Oh you must be the new pet that the boys were telling me about." Nice to meet you I'm Crystal." She said in a polite voice. I raised my head but I didn't feel like speaking. "What's the matter? Can't you talk?" I shook my head and pointed to my water bowl which was dry because they never gave me any water. My throat is too dry to speak. "Oh your poor thing. Don't worry the boys sent me down here to look at you but instead I might have to find you some water." She said. I couldn't help but notice that her voice sounded a little scary when she said that.

She took out a key and unlocked me cell. She then carried me bridal style until we reached a room with a giant pool that went down at least 10 feet. She then spoke up and said "listen Kyle, Brandon, Steve, and Erick are all mine! I don't care if your their pet or not. I'll just run out of this room and tell them that your drowned." After talking she tossed me straight in the pool. I thought that she is stupid. I can just swim. Wait! I don't know how to swim in human form without my tail. Oh no. I felt myself sinking until I hit the bottom of the pool. I can't breath. My anklet is stopping me from turning into my mermaid for.

When I thought all hope was lost I felt something shock me. I looked at my anklet  to see that it sparks shooting out of it. It's malfunctioning! I quickly hit the anklet over and over on the pool floor and it finally smashed. I quickly turned into my mermaid form and swam upwards. I saw the 4 boys and Crystal looking at me with their jaws dropping.

"Alex didn't tell us she was part fish!" I heard Steve say excitedly

"If subs could transform then that means. Dang it! Alex forgot to make the the anklet water proof!" I heard Brandon yell.

"Her fish form is really pretty" I heard Erick say.

Crystal started screaming in frustration "No. This is so unfair! Your were supposed to drown!" She quickly covered her mouth as she said the last part.

I saw Brandon pull her back by her hair. "You tried to kill our pet? Why?"

Well it's so unfair! You let a girl stay in your basement while I asked you guys multiple times to let me live here!" 

Erick spoke up "we're not letting a girl live here! She is our pet!"

Steve put a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear "I thinks it's best for you to leave and never come back."

Brandon let's go of her hair and she storm out. She then turns around and says "Your gonna wish you guys never kicked me out! I will come back and when I do I will kill you all and then maybe I'll take your little pet and torcher her before I kill her" she let out a maniacal laugh as she turned the corner. Brandon gave Kyle a wink and Kyle immediately ran out of the room. I heard distant screaming down the hall and saw Kyle walk back with Crystal's dead body in his hands.

I swam underwater. I didn't want want to see what they were going to do with the corpse. I remained underwater for who knows how long until suddenly a net surrounded me. I tried to swim away but it was too late. I was caught. I heard the boys laughing at me. And I heard Kyle's voice. "C'mon princess. Did you really think that we were going to let you remain in this pool forever? We're obviously going to take you back to your cage. It's unsafe for us to let you wander around without your anklet. We can't let you escape can we?"

I gasped as they lifted me out of the water and took the net off of me. I pretended to be passed out until they all came closer to me. Once they tried to grab me, I immediately moved my tail around and pushed all of them into the water except for Brandon who dodged my tail. Then I turned into my raven form and flew out an open window. I could hear Brandon yell in frustration. He tried to jump up and catch me but he missed by an inch and fell straight into the pool. "Get that bird!" He yelled to the others who were also in the pool.

Thinking I was finally free I decided to take a break and rest in a nearby tree. Once I took in a few breaths I quickly flew up and escaped and lived happily ever after! Just kidding. I flew out of the tree and then felt something jump on my back and made me fall to the ground. The last thing I remember were a pair of claws coming at me. And then I blacked out.
