Chapter 10

When I woke up I was in wolf form. I was in a giant dog crate as someone was carrying it. I tried to see who it was but it was hard to see. All I could tell was that this person was human. We eventually reached a small cave in the middle of the woods and the human placed my crate down. As he looked me straight in the eyes I knew immediately who he was. "Alex???" 

"Glad you remember my name" he said

"Why are doing this? What's going on?" I spoke in a scared voice.

He started to respond. "I'll explain once the others arrive. I put a note on your cage saying that if they ever want their precious pet back then they need to arrive at this cave. I didn't write who the note was from though. So their in for a shocking surprise."

"Why are you doing this?" I asked. He then placed a weird liquid in front of my nose and I almost immediately passed out.

When I woke up I was lying on the cave floor. No sign of Alex or anyone. I quickly ran out of the cave. I stopped when I spotted Kyle, Brandon, Erick, and Steve coming down a grassy mountain that was just outside the cave. I tried to call out to them but I realized that my anklet was preventing me from turning back into my human form. I decided to run as fast as I could until I finally reached them. They all jumped in surprise until they realized that it was me.

"Sierra?" Branson asked. I nodded.

Erick spoke up "how did you get up here? We thought you were taken."

I looked at them until they realized that I couldn't talk back.

Steve looked at me with a sad expression. "I wish we could turn you back to your human form so you can talk to us but we lost the remote. This sucks! I need to warn them about Alex! But how? Then I looked at all of them and realized that Kyle wasn't with them. I started whining.

"What is she whining for?" Erick said

"Oh she probably realized that Kyle isn't with us." Steve responded. I nodded and barked to let them know that Steve was right.

Brandon spoke up "sorry Sierra but we don't know where Kyle went. We woke up this morning and he was gone." I jumped at Brandon's words. Where could Kyle be? It was then that i realized how wolves have better hearing than humans do.

I raised my ears and waited until I could hear Kyle. When I was about to give up I heard a muffled voice yell "let me go you traitor." I noticed that it had the same voice as Kyle. I quickly ran to where I heard the voice. When I noticed that the others weren't following me I turned back. I ran up to Brandon and tugged on his shirt.

"Hey Stop!" I heard Brandon yell.  

"Wait. She might be telling us that she found Kyle!" Said Steve. I jumped in the air and started barking. I ran as fast as I could down the hill with the others following me. We stopped when we reached the beach. I remember this beach. This is where my mom disappeared! I looked around and saw a small boat drifting in the ocean. I looked closer and saw Alex with his arm around Kyle's neck. I howled to get the others attention. They freaked out when they saw the same thing I did.

Brandon yelled out to Alex. "Alex! Why are you doing this?"

Alex spoke in a crooked tone. "Why? Why? I'll tell you why! Kyle murdered my crush Crystal!"

Steve spoke in an angry tone. "Man get over her. She doesn't even know who you are! Every time she was with us she never brought up your name!"

"Silence!" Alex yelled. "I was in love with her. Me and her would always talk and she clearly had a thing for me."

Erick spoke "Dude your delusional! She never once talked to you let alone have a thing for you. She actually told us that you were annoying. And the only time she talked to you was to either tell you to shut up or leave her alone! Now that I have told you the truth, please give me my friend back!"

Alex spoke in a villainous voice. "Don't worry I'll avenge you Crystal." He pulled out a nice and slit Kyle's throat and the threw him in the ocean.

I started whining. I can't let Kyle die! I immediately ran into the ocean. I heard Brandon yell behind me "don't do it Sierra. He's already dead and wolves can't swim!" I don't care! I started paddling. The water was so blinding. I couldn't see anything. My eyes started burning. When I was a mermaid my eyes never hurt this bad underwater. My eyes quickly adjusted to the water around me and I swam until I saw the water around me turning red. I realized that this was Kyle's blood and I quickly searched for Kyle.

As soon as I spotted him I started doggy paddling towards him. Jeez with this much blood he will soon attract sharks. I quickly wrapped my paws around. "Kyle can you hear my voice? Life to me isn't complete without you. I think I have fallen in love with you so please you mustn't die here. If you die I'll die because I love you." I said this using my telepathy. He probably couldn't hear me because he's a human or he's already gone? Dang it please Kyle wake up! As I laid at the bottom of the sea, in the black, dark depths of the ocean I lost consciousness. I saw a light. This must be what dying feels like. I was in my human form as I walked towards the light.
