Lifetimes

- 8 Visit -

A few days had past and Y/n've made a full recovery. She was back in the game, hunting down and slaying those nasty demons. Even though she was glad that she was able to get back into the action, a part of her hoped she was still recovering. Y/n did miss being able to lay in bed every day with a valid excuse to be lazy. The girl also missed seeing her friends, more missions means she's alone for most of the time. Unless Y/n get partnered up, or else the crow's her only option.

The violet-eyed girl jumped down the dangerous path connecting the hill and the Ubuyashiki Mansion. She've just completed three missions in a row and was looking forward to relaxing back at home. As the girl ran down the familiar path she and Muichirou used to jog at, a smile appeared on her face. 

The cold breeze brushed through her hair. The cooling feeling got her into a relaxing mood. Soon, Y/n reached the back door of the mansion. She did prefer the back anyways. Sliding the lock open, the girl pushed the wooden gate open. Y/n carefully avoided the wandering guards as she sneaked her way into the main building. Even though they should probably know who she was, the girl was covered in dirt, mud and some blood from her previous mission.

You sneaked all the way into your room and shut the door. Greeted by the comfort of your bedroom, you let out a huge sigh of relief. ''Home, finally.'' 

You took a quick bath and put on your more comfortable uniform on (always got to be prepared for any demon attacks), wore on your belt holding your blade and its cover and pulled your kimono over it. [Idk what to call a sword cover]

Looking in the mirror, you checked for you're reflection. ''Eh could be worse.'' you shrugged. You noticed the shining pendant on your neck. Caressing the pendant with your fingers, you admire the craftsmanship of the necklace. You've never taken it off ever since Muichirou had put it on you. 

A knock on your door pulled you back into reality. ''Oh come in!'' you called. ''Heyy Y/n-san!'' a cheerful cry rang before a beautiful figure emerged from behind the door. ''Mitsuri!'' You exclaimed upon seeing your friend. 

''You ready to go yet?'' She asked, still standing at the door. ''Huh? Where are we going.'' You replied, confessed. ''You said you'll accompany me to the swordsmith village to check on my new blade. You promised me 3 weeks ago.'' she pouted. 

''Oh right! Sorry Mitsuri.'' you apologised, walking towards her. ''Actually, I'm all set to go.'' you hummed walking out of the room. ''Awesome!'' The pink-haired girl cheered, as she tailed behind you.

[And...changing back to third pov...sorry]

As the pair reached the village, they went to visit Misutri's swordsmith.  

''Sorry Miss Kanjiro, I wouldn't be able to finish your blade till the next week. You banged your old one real good so I had to make a new one for you.'' The swordsmith explained. The pink-haired girl was upset but understanding, thus leaving the swordsmith back to work.

''I'm sorry, your blade is taking so long.'' Y/n assured, as the pair walked down the small streets of the village. ''It's alright, it was kinda my fault.'' she sighed. The two walked in silence for a bit as Y/n tried to think of a way to cheer for friend up.  

''Hey, why not we go visit the hot spring. It would really cleanse your aura, since its a bit down now.'' The violet-eyed girl suggested. The aura of the other girl immediately lifted, ''Oh yes! Let's go get towels.'' She exclaimed, pulling Y/n along with her.

''Ahhhhhhh. This is the best.'' Mitsuri sighed as she laid in the steaming hot water. As she soaked in the relaxing water, Y/n sat on the stones, kicking the water with her feet. ''Y/n? Why aren't you in the water?'' Mitsuri asked, looking seriously at her friend. 

''Oh??? erm nope, I'm good.'' Y/n stuttered, slightly blushing. ''Oh come on, no one is here to see you and we're both girls so it should be fine,'' Mitsuri assured, pulling her friend's arms down into the water.  ''Ok, ok Mitsuri. Let me take my towel off first. It'll get wet.'' Y/m humbled, removing the towel and immediately submerge her body in the water.

The pink-haired girl giggle at her friend as she laid her head on one of the stones. Y/n was right, a dip in the hot spring would cleanse your aura immediately. The aura around the hot spring was as light as air, flowing like a peaceful stream. 

Calming down, Y/n relaxed and begin to sit upright, leaning on the stones behind her. ''You know, we should come here more often. '' Mitsuri suggested. Y/n nodded, agreeing with her friend's statement. 

Not hearing a verbal answer, the pink-haired girl turned to look at her friend. Her jade eyes landed on the cloud pendant resting on her friend's chest.  ''Wow! When did you get that?'' Mitsuri asked, admiring the necklace in awe. 

''Huh? Oh, a friend gave it to me.'' Y/n replied, slowing growing a faint shade of red on her cheeks. ''Oh?? Is it from Muichirou-kun?'' Mitsuri guessed.  ''Oh yea, how did you know.'' Y/n answered, confessed at how her friend knows.  ''It's a cloud pendant. The boy loves watching clouds so it wasn't a difficult guess.'' the other girl shrugged, leaning back on the stone, soaking her worries away. 

Y/n slowly drifted into her own thoughts. Hugging her legs together, y/n was consumed by her thoughts and imagination.

Meanwhile, 

'' Obanai! This is my corner, get lost!'' Sanemi shouted, splashing hot water at the other man. ''Hey. You don't own this hot spring.'' Iguro defended.  ''Man, why do they even come to the springs? Isn't the whole point of this to relax?'' a soft thought whispered in Muichirou's head. 

He submerged himself in the warm spring, watching the other two males fight for the more ''comfortable'' spot in the spring.  ''Should have just went to another spring...'' The mint eyed boy sighed silently in his head.
