It's been weeks since Tokito's full recovery, Kagaya had arranged a trainer for him, training him to become a demon slayer as well. Ever since Muichiruo has recovered, Y/n and him has been sending their free time together. Y/n has grown to enjoy Muichirou's company, as well as Muichirou himself.

''Muichirou!'' y/n called out, seeing his figure in the distance, she ran towards him. Muichirou turned to face the girl running towards him and smiled. ''Ready for our run?'' Y/n asked excitedly. '' Of course,'' Muichirou replied. Soon, the two started jogging, side by side. However, after 30 minutes, Muichirou sped up, causing y/n to lag behind a little.

Y/n didn't mind that he was faster than her, or that he was in front of her. It gave her a clear view of his messily tied hair, she made a mental note to tease him about it later. Plus, Muichirou had gotten stronger, quicker than anyone had expected despite his injuries. Once the pair reached the top of a small hill, they took a short break.

''You doing good Y/n-san?'' Muichirou teased.

''Oh shut up Tokito.'' Y/n said as she took in a deep breathe. ''Also, your hair is a mess tokito-san.'' y/n joked, moving closer to the boy. Muichirou placed on a curious expression, clueless at what she's saying.  ''Turn around.'' Y/n sighed. Obeying, the mint eyed boy turned his back to her.

Y/n begin to remove his hair in its messy, tangled state and proceed to place it into a need fluffy bun for him. ''There, so you're hair wouldn't get tangled.'' She said. Muichirou turned back around to face her, to see her wearing a frown on her face. ''What?'' he asked.

''Hm you have nice hair Tokito-san. You need to take more care of it.'' Y/n suggested as she pushed one the long strand of hair dangling at the side of his face. Muichirou felt his cheeks grow a little warmer at her touch. He gazed up at her gentle violet eyes. Yes up, Muichirou is, unfortunately, a little shorter than Y/n since they're of a year difference.

Y/n smiled gently at him before moving to her spot on their hill to practise her flexibility by stretching. Muichirou slowly moved beside her to do the same as well. ''Y/n?'' The boy mumbled. ''Hm?'' Y/n replied.

''Do you want to practise hand to hand combat with me after our training sessions?'' The mint eyed boy suggested. ''Oh, sorry tokito-san, I'm revising the history of the Slayer corps with Kiriya after training. '' She apologised.  ''Oh. It's okay then.'' the boy replied, with a small hint of disappointment in his tone.

Muichirou silently trained at the courtyard of the mansion by himself. Doing push-ups, handstands, lifting rocks and even punching a tree.

As he sent a kick towards a tree, blood spat out of his mouth. Muichirou stopped to cough out more blood, staining the pebbled floor beneath him. He had already trained so hard with his Sensei just now and he was pushing himself too much.

He wanted to become stronger, to become the best. So he could protect others and slay the demon who took people's lives away from them. He wanted them all gone. The more he thought, the more blood flowed out of his mouth as he continued to cough.

''Tokito-san!'' a sweet voice rang, followed by rushing footsteps coming towards him. He raised his head a little to see y/n running towards him. ''Tokito-san. Are you alright?'' Y/n asked, filled with concern for the boy. ''Come on..'' y/n helped Muichirou to the side for him to sit on the edge of the wooden platform. ''Here.'' y/n said as she held a bottle for him. The boy gratefully accepted the bottle and chugged down the water.

''Thank you.'' He thanked.

''Muichirou. You shouldn't push yourself too much you know..'' y/n stated.

Ignoring her advice, the mint eyed boy stood up once more to continue his training. There's no way he would stop. He needs to get stronger.
