Lifetimes

- 6 Necklace -

Opening her eyes, Y/n found herself laying down, staring at the familiar ceiling of the butterfly estate. She turned around to see her alone in the huge room on a hospital bed. The girl tried to sit up, however, a pain struck through her body, reminding her that her wounds are yet to heal fully.  

Mumbling could be heard from outside the room as footsteps got closer towards the door. On instinct, Y/n laid back down, shutting her eyes as she turns to her side, listening to the voices. ''Muichirou...You're still recovering..you don't have to- '' a voice cried.  ''It's fine Aoi, I feel better already.'' Another voice replied. 

''Muichirou?'' Y/n wonders as she heard the wooden door slide open, which causes her to squeeze her eye tighter. The sound of the door sliding back, was the only thing breaking the silence in the air. ''Who's coming in????'' y/n guessed in her head. 

Footsteps slowly moved towards her and stops right beside her bed. ''Oh shit?'' she thought. The edge of her bed sunk down a little and the warmth of the person's body can be felt. ''You're still asleep?'' the voice asked. Y/n clearly recognised the voice and knew it was the mint eyed boy. 

She felt a finger brush against her cheek, drawing her fallen hair and tucking it behind her ear. Then, she felt a blow of warm air blowing at her ear. Trying not to shiver, the voice whispered ''I know you're awake y/n-chan.''  ''Damnit.'' she silently cursed before she slowly turned to lay on her back. Opening her eyes, she as greeted with light mint eyes and a gentle smile. 

Y/n had no idea he was this close and started to blush. ''Helloo Y/n. Had a good rest?'' He cheered as he helped her into a sitting position. Y/n lean onto the headboard and nodded. ''Here's your medicine.'' He stated, handing the violet-eyed a wooden cup. She gratefully took it and chugged the medicine down quickly, not wanting to taste its bitterness. 

After taking the cup from her, Muichirou spoke again ''How are you feeling Y/n?' 

''Totally awesome.'' Y/n sighed. The boy looked at the girl, confused at her words. ''She was in such a bad shape just yesterday and yet she feels great already???'' he questioned himself silently. The violet-eyed girl noticed his confused feature and explain ''It was sarcasm Muichirou...II didn't really mean that.'' 

''Oh...''He replied, still process what the girl had just said. They sat in silence for a while as both drifted off into thoughts, enjoying each other's company, until the boy remembered.  ''Y/n-san?'' 

''Hm?'' The girl responded, turning her head to face him. The mint eyed boy hesitated before pulling out a small box from the pocket of his uniform. The girl stared at the box, wondering what possibly could be in it. ''This is for you...'' Muichirou stutter, handing her the box before turning slightly after, trying to hide a faint pink shade on his cheeks. 

Taking the box, Y/n thanks him and slowly opened it. Inside the small box, lays a blue sliver necklace. Its chains beautiful crafted, holding together, what seemed like a cloud pendant. The sliver pendant shone brightly as Y/n picked it out of the box, admiring it.

Her violet eyes sparkled with admiration as she gazed at the necklace. ''Its beautiful Muichirou.'' Y/n smiled, unable to take her eyes off the necklace. ''Do...do you like it?'' The shy boy stuttered. Y/n smiled at him warmly as her answer. Her smile was contagious, bring a curve up Muichirou's lips as well.  

''Could you help me put it on?'' Y/n questioned, handing the mint eyed boy the chain. ''??? Oh ok..''He replied, taking the necklace in his hands. Muichirou watched Y/n as she turned her small back towards him. He slowly observer the thin hospital gown that drops over her shoulders and wraps itself around her back. 

He moved his hands, taking each end of the necklace in each palm. Reaching forward, her wrapped the chain softly around her neck, purposely brushing his hands with the soft skin at her neck. The blush on his cheeks drew deeper each second. Finally, he clipped the two ends together, drawing his hands back to himself.

Y/n places her fingers on the sliver cloud, admiring it on her. ''Thank you Tokito-san!'' She thanked cheerfully, turning back to face him. The corner of Muichirou's lips curved one again, seeing the smile on her face makes it impossible for him not to smile as well. 

''You should get more rest Y/n,'' Muichirou said before getting off his sit and helping her back down into a laying position. ''I wish I can stay but I have stuff to do.'' He smiled. ''Aww you can't stay???'' Y/n pouted, wishing for him to stay a little longer. Giving in, The mint eyed boy agreed to stay until she fall asleep. Cheering with joy, the girl proceeds to close her eyes and drift off to sleep, all while holding the boy's hand.
