Making up her mind, Y/n forced herself to leave the hold and sprinted towards the group.

Drawing her sword, Y/n leapt into the air and landed on a demon's head. She continued to run on top of the wave of demons, before finally joining the group. Landing in front of the demon hunters, Y/n stood in her fighting stance. ''Don't give up, concentrate now!'' She ordered, eyeing both the demons and the slayers.

The group gave her a confident nod before facing the rushing wave of demons. With Y/n taking charge, the panic aura lifted and was replaced with confidence. Y/n displayed her skills clearly in this battle, slicing the heads off swiftly, without any difficulties. She moved smoothly between attacks, dodging swings and blows from the demons.

Y/n effortlessly took down swamps of demons alongside the others. As she fought, her eyes caught the sight of an injured person, laying in a hidden corner with another demon slayer. That person had a bright shade of yellow on his head. ''Zenitsu.'' The girl thought. Distracted from the sight, she wasn't aware of a demon attacking her from behind, aiming for her neck.

Before Y/n could react, she was saved from a clean cut on the demon's neck. As the creature faded into dust. A young boy stood behind it, tightly gripping on this blade. ''You alright Hashira?'' the boy asked.  ''I'm not-'' before Y/n could answer, they were attacked by demons once more.

''Jeez, when is this going to end?'' Y/n thought, bringing her blade across another demon's neck, killing it. Soon, the wave of demons died down, coming to the last few.  Getting tired of this nonsense, Y/n quickly ended the demons, leaving them in the dust.

With that, the demon slayers are allowed to breathe, even though there wasn't enough air circulating in the fortress. The atmosphere was stuffy and humid, the aura it held was full of mixed emotions, too much for Y/n to focus.  As the group calmed down, helping to the injured and slowly regaining their energy, Y/n silent wonders.

''I wonder how's Muichirou right now...'' As if her hand has a mind of its own, it slowly moved up to her neck and placed itself softly onto the silver pendant. Y/n couldn't help be miss him, she misses him being around her. ''Here have some water.'' a soft whisper rang from behind her. Turning around, the girl was met with the same boy that helped her during the attack.

''Oh, thank you.'' she thanked, gratefully accepting the bottle of water he handed her. The two stood in silence as they gazed down the empty corridor. The demons must-have pushed the group into another section of the fortress since Y/n wasn't able to find the hole Inosuke had made.

''So what do you think is our next move?'' The boy asked, looking hopefully at the girl. ''Huh? What do you mean?'' Y/n answered, confused.  ''Aren't you a Pillar? We're waiting for the Pillars' order...'' the boy stuttered.  Shocked at what he said, Y/n quickly assured him, ''Oh, you got it wrong...I'm not a Hashira...''

''Oh? You look like one...sorry...'' the boy quickly apologised, rubbing the back of his neck. ''So what's your name?'' Y/n awkwardly asked, trying to make the situation less awkward.  ''Murata. Yours?'' Murata answered.  ''Y/n.'' the girl smiled, happy to have made a friend.

''Y/n, Ido you think the other Pillars would make it to us?'' Murata wondered out loud, waiting for a response from the girl. ''What do you mean ' would make it'?'' the girl questioned, raising a brow at the boy. ''I mean after Hashira Shinobu died to an Upper-'' THe boy stuttered but was immediately cut off but Y/n. ''Wait what do you mean Shinobu died?'' The girl questioned, fear and worry in her eyes.

''Didn't you hear? The crow just announced her death...she was killed by an Upper Moon Demon....'' Murata answered, slightly confused. Suddenly, Y/n felt sick. Her breathing started to quicken as she tried to process his words. ''Y/n...is everything going to be alright?'' the boy questioned, worried t the girl's state.

Not wanting to worry and panic the whole group, Y/n calmed herself down and answered, ''Everything will be fine, we've to just stick to orders and follow accordingly.'' Y/n placed on a gentle smile, trying to assure the boy. ''Oh yes...well I'm going to check on the others.'' The boy smiled, going off to his friends.

Y/n stood silently by herself, thinking about Shinobu's death. Shinobu wasn't strong but she was skilful and fast. If she was killed this fast into the game, Y/n fears the lives of the others.

Suddenly, a strong feeling found it's way to Y/n guts. A strange aura filled her body, weighing her down. ''Something's wrong...'' Y/n wondered, holding her stomach from the pain. The feeling only grew as the aura thickened. ''Yep, something's very wrong.'' the girl concluded.  She limped back to the ground, holding her head this time from the weight of the foreign aura.

''Do you have some spare supplies? I sense that something has gone terribly wrong... I need to go find out what it is...and I fear that I might need some medical supplies.'' Y/n requested, giving Murata pleading eyes. ''Sure...I think we have some.'' the boy said before running off to another boy with a huge bag.

The feeling only grew stronger and heavier. Y/n heart started to pound against her chest as she started to pant heavily. ''Why am I acting like this...'' the girl wondered, placing her hand on her chest, trying to calm her breathing down.

''I hope nothing bad has happened.''
