~Missing~

Cody pushed himself off the grassy ground and dusted off his jeans. "They look like they're from an animal or a bear maybe?" He offered raising his hands in a shrug.

I stood up too, pulling Felix along with me. "Are there bears in Galicia?" Tobi muttered, pulling out his phone to check.

"No clue," David replied shoving his hands into his jean pockets. Felix turned back towards the log inspecting it again.

"What about a wolf?" I offered.

"A werewolf!" David exclaimed, grabbing me by my shoulders. Beside me, Felix smacked his forehead.

"You've gotta be kidding me..."

"Maybe she thought the ears were horns and that would explain why she thought she saw a tail." David curled his hands to look like claws and cocked his head to the right gazing up at me with a grin. "Plus." He dropped his hands back to his sides. "Werewolves are supposed to be super strong so even a small one could beat a human!"

"Of course!" Felix forced a grin, his voice dripping in sarcasm. "That theory makes sooo much more sense! Thanks!" David leaned in towards Felix waving a finger in his face.

"Don't be mad that my theory makes more sense than yours." He poked Felix's shoulder repeatedly teasing him.

"T-the scratches could have been from earlier," Felix mumbled.

"The witness affirms that the scratches were caused by the fight," Tobi responded secretly eavesdropping in on our conversation. David's grin grew wider as he kept poking Felix's arm.

"Aren't you supposed to be on my side!" Felix whipped around frowning at Tobi. "And you!" He turned back around grabbing David by the wrist. "Stop!" I giggled at their usual argument and glanced up at the sky noticing the change of lighting. The sun was beginning to set behind the trees making the forest an orangey-red color.

"I don't know guys." Cody breathed his voice barely above a whisper. Everyone turned towards him. "Something doesn't make sense. If the 'demon' really wanted to uh-eat the couple. Why isn't there any evidence of that? Why not just take the body and eat it?"

"True..." I muttered.

"Well, I don't trust the witness." Felix crossed his arms defiantly.

Cody nodded and started to explain his theory. "So I was thinking maybe-"

"OOOOHHHH!" A deafening shout filled the woods around us. For a second I thought someone else had been murdered, but no."Blood!" Eric held his phone inches from his face aiming it at the log. Coco immediately started barking. I crouched beside her trying to keep her calm by petting her but she continued to bark.

"Why are you shouting?" Tobi approached Eric annoyed.

"I found blood!" He shouted again. I glanced up at Felix seeing him take deep breaths a hand on his chest. He opened his eyes spotting my concern within seconds but brushed me off.

"I'm good." He sighed out of breath.

"There's no need to shout!" Tobi groaned, still trying to make Eric feel bad for scaring the hell out of us.

"Yeah, you scared us." Cody snapped.

David placed a hand on Felix's shoulder as worried as I was. "You sure you're okay?" Felix nodded. Coco continued to bark all the while right next to my ear.

"Jeez, you guys are so hypersensitive," Eric mumbled clearly feeling some guilt.

"You could have drawn the 'demon' right to us!" Cody replied surprisingly angry. I, in the whole time I'd known Cody for, had never seen him angry. Coco tugged on her leash I had a hold on barking viciously then took off running.
