This chapters kinda short and looking back at my rough draft I'm not super pleased with it but...here ya go. The next chapter is one of my favorites since you get a little glimpse into the core of (Y/N) and Felix's relationship. So look forward to that!

~Emotional Baggage~

Felix fumbled for his pocket, yanking his tiny pocket knife from it. Spinning around, he stepped in front of me. "Stay away from us! Or I'll use this!"

The stranger, who turned out to be an old man with long black hair and a scruffy goatee, held up his hands. "Calm down, what are you doing with that knife? I won't hurt you!" Though Felix seemed composed, I could feel him tremble against me. The man slowly reached for the knife. "Please give me the knife before someone gets hurt-"

Jerking his arm downwards in a slicing motion the knife sliced through the stranger's hand. The man winced, stepping back but Felix stood his ground. He was shaking with adrenaline. "I said, stay away!"

The chief's heavy footsteps approached the bleeding man. "What's happening?"

He sighed. "There's these kids..."

I grabbed the back of Felix's jacket preparing to hold him back. "What are you three doing here?! Did you follow me?" The chief's voice rose with each word.

The raven-haired man clutched his hand. "You know them?"

Felix struggled against me waving the knife at the chief. "You know something about where David is!!"

"Felix," Tobi grabbed Felix's other arm. "That's not true!"

"What the hell are you talking about? If I knew where your friend is I'd go and get him." The chief spat back, annoyance clear on his face. "I'm working hard to find him, so go back to your parents."

"We're very sorry for bothering you." Tobi apologized, pulling Felix back by his arm. "Come on Felix, let's just leave."

"No!" Felix snapped, shaking both of us off of him. "You need to shut up! I don't believe you at all!" He held the knife up the chief's throat, his hand shaking violently. "I don't trust you! The police hung up on us! I won't stop until we find David!" Felix's voice broke, his eyes growing glossy."He could be in danger and-"

Felix stopped mid-sentence beginning to sway on his feet. His demeanor was gone. The hand holding the knife dropped to his side and he raised a hand to clutch at his chest. No...not now. He doesn't have his medication! I glanced over at Tobi who seemed shocked, he doesn't know. "Felix?" I muttered my blood going cold.

He hunched over dropping the knife to place his other hand on his chest. He swayed a final time turning to fall against me. I stumbled backward hitting the door. "Felix!" His shirt was damp with cold sweat. I held him as still as I could with one arm, he was still shaking. I pushed him up by his shoulders, getting a good look at his face. He looked exhausted, pale as his tan skin could get.

"Is he okay?!" The older man prodded.

Tobi placed a hand against Felix's shoulder, helping hold him steady. "Felix, are you okay?"

He didn't respond. just groaned and dropped onto my chest. "Can someone get some water?" I pleaded, my voice coming out in a small whimper. The two men rushed to the back for water while Tobi helped me haul Felix into a chair. "You okay? We can call an ambulance..." I mustered placing a hand on the back of his chair.

"I'm okay."

"Alright, just take deep breaths you don't have your medication," I whispered as Tobi returned with a glass of water.

"Here, have some water."

"Thanks." Felix lazily took the glass and brought it to his lips.

Tobi rubbed his arm looking off to the side. "What happened to you?"

"Dizzy, I got dizzy." Felix ended the conversation as quickly as he could, swallowing a gulp of water.

I crossed my arms across my chest. I wanted to find David. All three of us did but I wasn't about to let Felix get himself killed over it. "Felix, I know you want to find David and so do I, but I think we should go back. You need to rest." Over by the bar the two men talked in hushed tones. All I could pick up was something about Felix's mom. "Felix, are you listening to me?"

He sighed spinning in his chair to face me. "I thought you were on my side."

"Felix," I tugged at the hem of my shirt. "This isn't about sides. I just want you to-"

"Shut up, (Y/N)! Just shut up!"

"You're so stubborn!" I scolded him, dropping the hem of my shirt and raising my eyes to meet his.

"We all want to find David but we can't go into this blind!" Tobi agreed pointedly staring down Felix.

Felix's eye twitched and his grip on the glass in his hand tightened. "I said-" He chucked the glass at the ground, shattering it into a million pieces. "Shut up! Both of you!" Felix pushed himself out of his chair it's leg squeaking across the tile. He stomped over to me waving his finger in my face. "I don't want to hear any more of your bullshit! You haven't forgiven me and neither has David! I have to find him! I have to prove I'm not who I used to be!" My eyes filled with tears at the weight of Felix's words. This was what he'd been keeping from me. Do I forgive him? Or have I just been sweeping this issue under the rug over the favor of my feelings? Felix fell back into the chair. "I didn't help at all when you guys were getting kidnapped...I'm never there when you need me. I'm just a useless piece of shit."

Tobi who'd witnessed the whole situation was quick to comfort him. "You're not useless and what happened isn't your fault."

I stood unmoving, chills cascading down my arms. His words echoed in my head. Forgiveness...the old Felix. Back then, all three of us had been different people. "Enough with the whining, all of you are going back to your parents." The chief crossed his arms.

"No!" Felix shook his head arguing with the adults. "I don't want to stop searching!"

The bartender argued back. "You're sick and shaking! We need to take you back to your parents."

"Rafael will take care of you and I'll try to find your friend. I want to find him just as much as you. And when I do I'll bring him back to you."

Tobi nodded. I crossed my arms over my chest still trembling from our argument. Felix met my eyes, his amber irises swimming with regret. He'd never yelled at me before.

The bartender Rafael smiled. "I'll take care of them. Don't worry, they'll find your friend."

Tobi crouched down in front of Felix. "Leave me alone." He sighed covering his face with his hands. "I'm so useless..."

"You're not the only one who feels useless," I muttered, urging him to peek through his fingers for a split second. I turned away from Felix and crossed my arms. How could I call my self his friend, let alone something more, when I hadn't had the decency to ever apologize. All I'd been to him for the past two years was emotional baggage, and that hurt.
