I hope you enjoy this chapter! After I finish the uploading the first season I have a couple AU's to look forwards to while we all wait for Season 2.

~Badass~

After having our moment, the three of us headed over to our bikes. "You rode here?" I nudged Tobi.

"As fast as I could." He smiled. Felix's pulled me closer to him, his grip almost painful.

"Felix, you need to calm down." I patted his arm.

"Yeah, you're practically hyperventilating. Take deep breaths. In..." Tobi took a big breath in. "And out..." He finished letting out the rest of the air in his lungs. Felix dropped my hand.

"I'm fine." He barked at Tobi, his eye twitching. "If you don't care about David, fine!" Felix spat before saddling his bike then offered me a hand. I took it, situating myself on the back of Felix's seat. "If you don't want to help, me and (Y/N) will do this alone." Slipping my hands underneath his jacket I pressed them against the cloth of his thin baseball tee. Warmth radiated off of him. Comforting.

"How dare you say I don't care about David!" Tobi raised his voice taking a step towards Felix. "I just don't like how you-"

Felix held up a hand shushing Tobi. "One second." Behind us, the police chief was getting into his car. That fuckin car... I rolled my eyes. "That's the police chief, right?"

"No doubt." I chewed at my chapped lip.

"This is our chance!" Felix looked over his shoulder at me. "We've gotta follow him."

Tobi sighed. "You're sure he has something to do with the kidnapping?"

"He's hella suspicious and we don't have any other lead, so yes."

"He's a bad person for sure, but....suspicious?" Tobi adjusted his jacket. "He treats my mom like shit even though she tries her best and I can't do anything..."

I hummed against Felix's back. "Maybe if you come with us we can find a way to get him fired. Doing nothing won't help."

The chief pulled out of the parking lot and Felix spun his bike around to face the road. "We're going now if you're not coming tell our dad's we're heading home."

I smiled and waved Tobi goodbye slipping my hand back under Felix's jacket. He giggled. "What?"

"Felix! (Y/N)! Wait!" Tobi cut me off. I turned my head surprised to see Tobi tailing us on his bike. Felix turned too, the corner of his mouth turning up. Focusing back on the road he spoke loud enough for Tobi to hear.

"Nice! Let's find out what he's hiding!"

The blue car took us down bumpy dirt trails and Felix and I quickly fell behind Tobi. "He just pulled into the next driveway." Tobi looked back at us.

Felix huffed. "We're coming" His pace was a lot slower than when we'd started.

"I can walk, Felix." I tugged on his sweaty damp shirt. "I don't want to push you."

Felix shook his head. "I'm fine, (Y/N)." We climbed the small hill hopping off our bikes and taking cover by some bushes.

"Does he have a fucking mansion?!" I whisper shouted.

"It's a motel, smartass." Felix snarked, still out of breath.

"Shut up..." I blushed, swatting at his face.

Tobi smiled at our usual demeanor quickly snapping back to the problem at hand. "He just went in. What do we do now?"

"We should be able to sneak in." I offered. locking eyes with the two of them.

"That's risky..." Tobi muttered. "We're gonna get caught."

"We'll hide."

"Sure." Tobi pushed himself off the grass and brushed the dirt off his pants. "But we don't know why he's in there. Or if David's even related. What happens if he catches us? He could attack us or..." Tobi began to spiral, running his finger across his throat in a slicing motion. "Or worse."

"I'm not stupid." Felix sighed. "I'm not trying to get any of us hurt." He met my eyes. "We just want to see what he's up to. We'll be quick. If it's harmless we'll leave."

"You're a badass," I whispered a small smile gracing my lips.

"Really?" He laughed his melodic laugh. "It sounded more like 'dick' earlier." His reference to when I'd thrown a slipper at him made my smile grow.

"That too."

The three of us slunk across the rather empty parking lot in silence. Tobi opened the motel's front door quietly, glancing around the dining area. "Empty." He mumbled, opening it for Felix and I. Surveying the area, nothing but the chatter of the television was heard.

Well, until we heard voices in the back. "Shit!" Felix whispered pushing me towards a table. "Hide!" The three of us huddled together, backs pressed against the table cloth.

"So it's fine if we meet here today?" A husky voice I identified as the chiefs questioned, his footsteps seemingly rounded the bar.

"Yeah, there's no one here on weekdays." A stranger responded, following the chief. "How's the search going?"

I held my breath noting how close Felix and I were. Attempting to fit the three of us behind the table he'd unconsciously pressed up against me. "Badly," the chief sighed. "Nothing works, it's really frustrating." Liquid hitting a glass. They must be drinking.

"Let me know if I can help." The presumable bartender offered.

"What are they talking about?" Felix whispered his hot breath fanning my ear. Not the time! Not the time, (Y/N)! My body flushed from head to toe.

"Uh-I don't know." I stuttered feeling a shiver shoot up my spine.

The chief sipped his drink. "To be honest, I wish you would help more."

"You have to understand it gets tiring after a while."

The two continued to chat about mundane things. Felix pointed towards the ceiling pushing Tobi to peek over the table. He crouched back down tilting his head to the side. "They're just talking about life and stuff. I don't think we're gonna get anything out of this."

"I'm sure if we stay here we can get some kind of information."

Tobi sighed. "We're wasting time."

"What do you think, (Y/N)?" Felix's sudden breath on my ear made me jerk backward, slamming my head against the table. A wine glass toppled off, shattering on impact right next to us. "Alright let's run."

The three of us took off towards the door desperately jiggling the entrance's doorknob. "Can I help you?" A monotonous voice questioned, standing mere feet behind the three of us. My heart sunk.
