Cruel Intentions (Todoroki x Reader)

Chapter 19 - Truth

The sun was beginning to set, the clouds that were once puffs of orange and pink, now turning dark purple. Todoroki stood before you, wearing a nice button down with a pair of casual dress pants. You on the other hand wore a (color) fluffy sweater with a (color) tennis skirt. Todoroki's eyes lit up when he saw you. He looked up and down your body, a slight red color spreading across his cheeks.

"You look so pretty," he said with a smile. 

He wrapped his arm around your waist to bring you closer to him, laying a gentle kiss on your forehead. Your cheeks turned pink at both his compliment and kiss. He let you go so that he could hold your hand instead. The two of you began walking together down the street. Todoroki had wanted to take you out to dinner and you agreed on going despite Goliath's intimidating stare. He was always so over protective of you.

"Ready for our date?" Todoroki asked.

"Yeah I can't wait," you smiled. "Where are you even taking me, hmmm? You refused to tell me."

He held a finger up to his lips.  "It's a secret," he winked. 

"No faiiirrr." You pouted and gave your best puppy dog eyes to him. 

"As cute as you look, I'm not telling. Trust me, you'll love it."

Todoroki led you to the corner where he hailed down a cab.  He held open the door for you to let you in. You slid onto the comfy seats, Todoroki sitting next to you and placing a hand over your knee. You were beyond excited to see where he would take you. It was hard to go on little dates with him while you were in school, so this was something that you had been looking forward to since the day began. 

The car pulled up in front of an adorable looking restaurant with bright yellow stars drawn on the outside window. Todoroki got out of the car first, holding his hand out to help you get out. Once you were outside, your eyes widened when you realized where he had taken you. You jumped around in your spot, waiting for Todoroki to finish paying the taxi driver. When he was done you threw your arms around his neck, big happy smile on your face.

"You brought me to the Kirby Cafe!" you shouted delighted. 

Todoroki smiled. "I'm glad you like my surprise. Ready to go in?"

"Of course!"

You grabbed Todoroki's hand and raced inside the cafe. It was crowded which was no surprise to you. This cafe was famous across Japan for its cute Kirby inspired dishes and decorations. Although you were a little nervous to be around so many people, you pushed your doubts away so you could enjoy your date with your boyfriend. A waitress approached the two of you with a smile on her face.

"Hello, do you guys have a reservation?" she asked.

Reservation? Uh-oh...

"Yes, it should be under Todoroki."

The waitress quickly scanned the reservation book before grabbing two menus and leading you to your booth table. Once you were seated, you looked at Todoroki in shock.

"You got us a reservation?" 

"Of course," he nodded. "This place is always packed and I wanted to make sure I could have a chance to eat here with my girl."

"Aw, Shoto, you're so sweet." 

You quickly grabbed a menu to cover your blushing face. Upon opening it, you scanned the pages and read the descriptions for each tasty treat. You peeked out from your menu to see Todoroki deep in thought as he contemplated on what to get. He looked too cute. You set your menu down after your blush had faded. The waitress quickly came and went as she took your orders and came back with each of your respective meals. You looked down at your dish with a huge bright smile on your lips.
