Chapter 17 - Closer Together

Several Weeks Later 

Time seemed to have flown by in an instant. Even after all the drama you had experienced, you managed to grow closer with your new found friends and enjoyed hanging out with them. As long as you stayed on top of your training schedule, it was no problem that you were seeing your friends almost every week outside of school. Goliath had also noticed a change in your attitude. You seemed more carefree and like a weight had been lifted off your shoulder. 

"(Name)," Todoroki called out to you. 

Then there was Todoroki, the half hot half cold boy who had captured your heart. Ever since the sleepover and the words that you two had exchanged, the two of you had grown much closer with one another. Not that many people knew about it though. You both agreed it'd be better to keep the news between you two and only a couple of close friends. 

"Hey," you smiled at him. "What's up?"

"I was wondering if you're free after school today? It's Friday after all."

"Oh! I think I should be free. I'll just text Goliath so he doesn't worry about me. Do you have any place in mind?" you asked curiously. 

"I thought we could go to the park and see that concert that they're playing. What do you say?" he asked hopefully. 

You pretended like you were thinking it over in serious thought. When you saw how nervous Todoroki was getting you couldn't help but laugh.  "Yeah, that sounds nice actually. You wanna go now?"

He looked at you relieved before smiling. "They don't play till in about two hours so I was thinking maybe we could get something to eat first." 

"That sounds like a good idea to me!" you beamed. 

     The two of you went to your respective lockers to gather your things and change shoes before meeting up near the front entrance of the school. However, when you arrived, you noticed the dark clouds that began to cover the sun. The sky also turned a deep grayish blue, a clear sign that it was going to rain today. Almost as if to make it even more obvious, not long after 5 minutes of observing did it actually begin to rain. You let out a deep sigh. How were you going to enjoy the day with Todoroki now?

"Looks like it's raining." Todoroki had spoken from behind you. He looked up at the dark sky in thought. "Perhaps it'll pass?"

A loud clap of thunder echoed throughout the school on cue. 

"I don't think it'll pass any time soon," you sighed. You tried to keep a small smile on your face. "Oh, damn I didn't bring an umbrella today."

"Don't worry, I think I have a spare one in my locker," Todoroki reassured you. "Just wait here for a moment."

He walked back to his locker and then shortly returned with his spare umbrella. It was large enough for the two of you. Todoroki opened up the umbrella and once you stepped underneath it, he wrapped his arm around you to pull you closer. You blushed as you felt his warm body against yours. Thankfully, most students had already hurried home so no one was around to see the two of you. 

"So where do you wanna go? A cafe maybe?" Todoroki asked. 

"I feel a little tired from today actually. Aizawa sensei really stressed me out with that pop quiz today," you groaned, massaging your temples. 

"Then would you like to come over my place then?" Todoroki suggested. "We don't have to if you're uncomfortable but I thought maybe it'd be nice to show you my place since I've already seen yours."
