What was supposed to be a brisk walk throughout Hosu City, ended up with you and Todoroki running towards danger. There was a loud explosion, not too far away from your therapists office. Flames sprouted forth engulfing the night sky followed by a loud roar. It didn't take long for you to realize who or what had let out such a war cry, when a winged Nomu flew above the two of you. Todoroki immediately grabbed onto your hand tight.
"Stay close to me," he instructed.
You nodded affirmatively. "Got it."
The two of you continued to push past panicked civilians who were running towards safety. Todoroki had whipped out his cellphone and called the police to inform them that there may be suspicious activity going on at Midoriya location and that they should hurry. You ran as fast as you could, being mindful of the tiny children who were running alongside their parents. You didn't think visiting your therapist in a different city would result in this. And to make matters worse, it had to be multiple Nomus that were attacking.
You remembered the first one that All Might had encountered back at the USJ. You hadn't been there to witness it personally since Goliath had escorted you out of the situation. However, you still remember watching the altercation on YouTube. Back then everyone was concerned over you using your powers. Even you yourself had issues using your quirk. Now, you felt like more than ever you should be using it. But at the same time, the pros needed to handle this one. Those Nomu creatures were ridiculously strong.
"This way," Todoroki said.
He pulled you towards a dark alley. Your eyes widened when you saw Midoriya and Iida lying there frozen with the Hero Killer himself not too far away. He stood there, white bandana over his crazed, blood shot eyes. It was chilling to see the Hero Killer himself right in front of you. His other red bandana flowed with the wind. At first you thought Iida and Midoriya were dead, but upon further inspection you were relieved to see that they looked just paralyzed. They both wore their hero costumes. Today was supposed to be the day your friends went out on their work study programs. But today had gone horribly wrong.
Todoroki jumped to action, a burst of glowing red flames igniting from his from left hand.
"Todo..." you breathed.
The flames lit up the dark alley for just a moment, smiting the Hero Killer.
"Todoroki, you're here!" Midoriya called. "And you're using your left side?"
"That's my line," Todoroki mused. "I knew you wouldn't just send me your location for no reason. You should've called me sooner."
Todoroki stepped forward, a path of ice traveling forth. Midoriya and Iida slid down to the both of you, and you sprang forth to drag them behind Todoroki.
"Be careful, (Name)! His quirk allows him to taste peoples blood to paralyze them," Midoriya explained.
"Damn it," you cursed. "I-I don't know if I'll be much help during this fight, Shoto..."
"Just stay safe and watch over them while I hold him off," Todoroki instructed. "That's all I want you to do, (Name)."
You internally sighed, wishing more than ever that your quirk didn't have to be such a clutch right now. Who would've thought that you'd be facing off a villain who also uses blood to their advantage.
Just my luck.
"I'm sorry everyone," Iida lamented. "This is all my fault. I should've never gotten any of you involved."
"Don't say that, Iida," Midoriya chided. "We'll be here for you no matter what."
"Exactly," you nodded in agreement. "The pros will be here soon before you know it."
