Me and Will walk outside and into the midst of the battle. I look around and see Polly and Tucker sitting on top of one of the sheds. I point at them and Will follows me over. They look down at us when we get to the shed. Tucker's eyes are filled with rage and Polly doesn't seem too happy.
"Why the hell did you leave? We told you to stay there! " Tucker flies down and screams in my face. I cross my arms and sigh exasperated as if they are the ones who are being dumb.
"I had another premonition. I had to get out and bring the messengers and their mother with me. I have turned him over to our side," I say. Will stands there and doesn't do anything but stare at me.
Polly claps her hands and jumps down from the shed. Tucker catches her and she giggles into his chest, making him smile slightly. He realizes that I'm watching and his face goes back to it's usual position of, don't talk to me or I will kill you.
"That's amazing Ash! What else do we have to do?" She asks. I wave her forward and she walks towards me with Tucker right beside her. I shake my head and tell Tucker to wait behind the shed and all the guards too. They all walk behind it, albeit reluctantly.
"You, my dear, are going to have to kill Tucker. It's the only way that this can happen. You will be the biggest ruler and be the most respected and loved it you do it, " I whisper to her. She laughs and nods.
"When do I do this?" She asks, equally as quiet as I did. She rocks on the heels of her feet and claps her hands softly. I think for a moment how long it will take to be back to the house and the answer.
"In five minutes. Me and Will are leaving now, but we'll be back, " I tell her. She nods and waves for us to go. We take off running and get back inside the house. Some of the medical people hand us waters. I gulp mine down and Will does the same.
We check our clothes and hair for microphones and I find one in my pocket and Will finds one at the top of his shirt. We change clothes and put ours in the washer. We walk back to the living room and sit down on the couch.
"I'm glad that she's dumb enough to fall for that stuff," I whisper, making Will laugh. He nods and rests his forehead against mine knowing fully that we are going to have to go back out there to finish our part of everything. I peck him on the lips and pull back.
We get up off the couch as we hear loud screaming. I realize that it's Tucker's and I frown. They screaming stops instantly. The sudden quiet is deafening. I take Will's hand and we walk back outside. We walk over to the shed.
I keep my eyes up and on Polly as we walk over. Blood is splattered over her clothes and she smiles maniacally. I accidentally look down at the ground and see Tucker's deformed corpse lying on the ground. I look back up and swallow the lump in my throat. I lift my wings and tail so they don't drag on the ground where the bodies are.
Only two of the guards remain standing, the others dead or injured to the point where they can't do anything but lie there. We walk up to the shed and fly up onto it. Polly walks over to me and sets her bloodlines hands on my shoulders.
"Okay, now what?" She asks excitedly. The guards watch the fight down below and aren't paying any attention to us. Will we behind them and shoots fire into them. They scream but Polly doesn't seem to notice or if she does, she doesn't care.
"Now we wait and watch the war," I tell her. She nods and we sit down at the edge of the shed. Will sits down next to me and takes my hand. The war goes on for a while and I hear someone climb up the shed. Will takes my rapier out of it's sheath and hands it to Kaiser.
Polly goes to turn around but I point at a particularly intense scene of people fighting and she watches in awe. Kaiser walks over extremely quietly and raises my rapier. She points it inches away from Polly's back and I turn around, not really wanting to witness her dying.
Kaiser shoves the sword through Polly and her eyes go wide. The sword goes all the way through her midsection. She looks down at the sword and then over at me. I stand up quickly and walk back over to where Will is standing.
"You lied to me!" She screeches, turning around to face me. Kaiser pulls the sword out and blood gushes out of the wound. She gives one final weak glare as her eyes glaze over. Her limp body falls forward and onto the ground with a sickening crack.
Kaiser wipes my sword of with a cloth and hands it back to me. I sheath it and stand on top of the shed. Will stands at my right and Kaiser at my left. I clap and I immediately have everyone's attention. Will states at me in awe. So that's what my power is, getting attention. Seems fitting.
"Polly and Tucker are dead! Give up now or be held prisoner for the rest of your lives!" I yell as loudly as I can. People from the other side drop their weapons one by one. All of the people who drop their weapons have relief on their face, most likely not wanting to had to fight in the first place.
The people who don't drop their weapons are either out in fireproof handcuffs or killed. The ones who did look at me and wait for their fate. I cross my arms and think. They don't deserve to be imprisoned for it, as they were under mind control almost. I snap my fingers as I come up with what to do.
"We will have another place built for all those who have surrendered. There will be people there to keep an eye on you but if you obey their rules, and don't kill anyone innocent, you can live just as you want," I declare. The whole field goes silent, save for the burning of whatever has set on fire during the war.
Then the clapping starts. There are so many people that it sounds like a huge thunderstorm. I take Will and Kaiser's hands and lift them. I smile widely at everyone. We get off the roof of the shed and look at the ground. I see all the dead bodies and try to go around them. I lift my wings and tail up to avoid getting anymore blood on me.
"We're going to have to have someone clean this up soon," I say, wincing as I step on someone's wings, breaking a couple of the bones in it. I look up and refuse to look down the whole way back to the house, letting Will guide Me through the sea of the dead.
Me, Kaiser, and Will walk back to the house and declare our victory. We move the kids out of the basement and have some of the construction powered people make the dungeons that we'll move to the new house later when it's built.
Arsenic runs forward and leaps onto me. I lift them up and let them snuggle into my chest. Will runs a hand through their hair and smiles at me. I smile back at him just as widely. Arsenic snuggles closer to me and I hug them tighter, rubbing their back softly.
Everything is going to be okay.
