Mijo's POV
Luke and I were driving to the hospital since my Aunt has an emergency at work so she can't some with us still i'm glad Luke's here to come with me I just can't stop bugging my self that why do i still need Kiwi I thought I should stop using her when I was 10 but here she is my breathing problems came back.
"Hey what's the problem bae?" Luke asked as he patted my knee
"It's just my breathing problems I thought that it would stop yah know?" I said
"Yeah and that's why we're going to the doctor right?" he said
"Yeah but what if something was wrong with me Luke?" I said as I tried fighting the tears to roll down
"I'm always here for you remember and we're all here to support you" he said giving me an assuring smile
"Yeah thanks Luke" I said
"No problem bae as long as your happy" he said
As we parked to the hospitals parking lot me and Luke hopped out of the car and went inside as we walked towards the nurse's station.
"Excuse me is Dr. Roberts here?" I said
The nurse looked up at me adn gave me warming smile.
"Yeah she's here why won't you take a seat first sir while I tell her your here for your appointment" she said
"Thank you" I said
As we both took a sit in the waiting room I can't help but to smile and frown at the same time I love the hospital and it makes me sad at the same it time between that thin line which seperates life and death on one hand the hospital gives life will the other serves to the people here who were just waiting for their time. I can't stop thinking about my Mum.
-FLASHBACK-
I rushed through the doors of the hospital and went to the information desk.
"Mrs. Bartolome please?" I said
"Oh room 314" the nurse said
"As I run to the elevator and tapped my foot impatienlt as I got out of the elvator I started counting the doors until the room number was 314. I opened the door as I saw my dad holding my mum's hand sitting beside her I closed the door and walked to them.
"Hey" my Mum said as she gestured me to sit on the other side of the bed.
She shake my dad's shoulder to wake him off and told him that if we can have a moment he quickly nodded and went of the room.
"Mum what's wrong?" I asked
"I'm not gonna live for long love" she said smiling
"Why?" as I sob and hugged her
"The doctors said the my lung cancer is at it's peak" she said hugging me tightly as I cried harder at her chest
"We can do chemo ma" I said
"No I don't want to spend my time on that stupid therapy" she said
"But ma we just want you to be safe" I said still crying on her chest
"Yeah but I will be safe once I'm up there with the stars aren't you happy that I'll be watching you every night twinkling at the night sky?" she said
"But I want you to be safe here with us" I said tightening my grip on her hospital gown
"Shhh remember what I said about the stars?" she said
"Yeah that stars show me my fate" I said
"Yeah and I'll be a star once I'm up there and I'll show you your fate" she said
As she hugged me I ehard a long beep on the machine next to her bed as I looked at it the zigzaged line went into straight as it hit me that means my mum already passed away I placed her on the bad and placed a blank on her like she was just sleeping. As I looked at her she's smiling and that she's already going up there to be s star. A star that will lead me to my fate I need to be strong for my mum. Once my dad entered the room I quickly hugged him and he said my Mum was just waiting for me so she can let go of th thread that she was holding.
I walked besides her bed and kissed her temple for the last time this kiss took me minutes before I pulled away knowing this will the last time I will lay my lips on her. I'm gonna miss her so much.
"I love you Ma and please be the star that guides me to my fate" I said as I walked back to my dad.
-FLASHBACK ENDED-
As we were called I quickly got up and Luke followed me we went inside as I saw a woman sitting across from her desk with a blonde hair and she was wearing a thick fram of glasses.
"Good morning Mr. Bartolome" she said
"Good morning Dr. Roberts" I said as me and Luke took our seat
"So your Aunt already called me yesterday and she said something about your difficulty in breathing came back?" she said
"Yes" I said
"Well I would to run some tests on you if that's okay?" she said
"Sure no prob" I said
As she opened her drawer and took out a paper and gave it to me for the random tests of approval to be given to thos who will take my tests.
-1 Hour Later-
As we were finished doing our tests we took a seat again on the waiting room as a nurse walked to us.
"Dr. Roberts would like to see you now" she said
As she gestured for us to follow her and she opened the door for us as we took a seat again in Dr. Roberts office.
"Hey Mr. Bartolome so I already got your test results" she said
"Please call me Mijo Doctor" I said
"Okay Mijo as you can see I already have you test results and I'n very sad to say that you have a thyroid and lung cancer stage three" she said
As the words hit me I started crying as Luke hugged me and I cried on his chest.
"Shhh everything's gonna be okay" he said while rubbing small circles on my back
"No it won't" I said "I'm too young to die!" I said as my sobs got louder and my hand tighten it's grips on the hem of his shirt.
"Is there anyhting we can do Doctor?" Luke asked
"Yes he can take medicines to lessen it but I'm not sure it will be gone we just want to aid it first" the doctor said
"Thank you. You see you still can aid it" he said
"Thanks"I said
"No problem" he said
I wish I'm really strong enough to handle everything right now I just broke up with Niall in the past few days and now I have a thyroid and lung cancer stage three exactly and I'm not ready to die.
