CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"What are u doing?" Asked Hero angerly

"What are u talking about, I'm not doing anything" I said innocently 

"Why are u with him, I know u don't like him, is he forcing you on something, is he the reason you were crying the whole week?" said Hero as he was getting closer to me. I was putting some distance between us but then my back hit the wall and Hero came even closer.

"No, what are u talking about, why do you even care Hero?!" I said angerly. He satrted moving closer to me, he put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him, biting his lower lip he looked at my lips and then back up at my eyes.

"I'm talking abt how I know u don't like him because you like..." He was talking and ah that moment Cain barged in my room. I pushed Hero off me.

"Cain what are u doing here?" I asked suprised

"Oh, um you were wearing my jacket and I forgot to take it... Your dad let me in the house, did I interrupt something?" He asked suspiciously 

"Yes" said Hero at the same time i said no.

"No, you weren't . Hero was just leaving" I said and looked at Hero giving him the hint.

He looked was looking me in the eyes and said "Yeah, just leaving." He said with a cold voice and bumped his shoulder against Cain's on the way out. 

"You sure that wasn't anything" Cain said sitting next to me on my bed

"Yes, I'm sure. Look I'm really sorry, I don't want anything with him in that sense, I just see him as my best friend." I said, knowing in my mind that I'm lying.

Cain just sat nect to me and put his hand around my shoulder pulling me closer to him. 

"So I was thinking about this... Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked

I didn't respond for some time but i said yes and he kissed me. And right at that moment my dad opened the door and told him to go home. 

"What's happening with u?" He asked sitting next to me "What's happening with u and Hero?"

"I don't know daddy" I said with tears in my eyes. "I just want him back as my best friend, all of this started when that bitch Kate spreaded those rumors around college"

"Well I'm not anyone who can change something by just saying it, but I like Hero more than this Cain guy" he said

"That's because u know Hero for longer" I told him

"No, come on do you really think I'm that stupid, you two are competing agains each other for the last two days, and today was so intense u could cut it with a knife. But also I know u don't like Cain as much, you have nothing in common, and Hero, he's the person u feel the most comfortable around, hell u aren't like that even in fornt of me, u are normal around him, you walk around in baggy clothes, you don't wear makeup, your hair is a mess, you eat as much as u want and can in front of him, he is the only person u can dance and sing in front of, he looks at you the way you look at stars honey, it's called love" finished my dad and a tear fell out of my eye. That was beautiful and the most painfull part is that it's true.

"Come on princess, try and get some sleep you have school tommorrow" he said with a kiss on my forhead and left the room closing the door.
